Just got back from the game and I wanted to give my 2 cents…which won’t buy s*&t in today’s world…LOL

Ronnie brown…. Fast to the hole. He does not cut or read real well, but well enough in my book. Seems to be much better after breaking through the line, which means he needs To get to full speed to be effective.

Chris Chambers… weeellll I will only say he seems to catch everything that is above his head. Any ball thrown to his chest or below MIGHT not be caught. Looks like he lets the ball come to his body before he catches the ball..

Manny Wright.... Looked very good. I didn’t know he was even playing until I saw him on the field. He was really giving the o-lineman for Buffalo trouble several running plays were Headed his way and he forced cutbacks from the running backs because he was Blowing up the guards.

Frerotte….. still sucks I don’t care what anyone tells me. He couldn’t hit a barn at 20 yards. I will give him credit for one thing. He looks for the bomb on almost every pass play. Then checks down on the other receivers.

I sit in the endzones on purpose because I think I get a better view of the plays developing. I don’t understand the offense on this team !! I know Linahan has a pre-read where the QB is supposed to Choose an area/zone or 1 side of the field. Either the QB’s aren’t making correct reads or this is a stupid Way of running the offense. Many times the QB would select the area where he was throwing and it seemed there was someone running open on the other side of the field. Maybe it was the way the Bills defense was aligned, but it just seems there are many plays that are just missed.

I really agree with you on the chambers thing. His hands are great, but when the ball is at chest level or near the ground he tends to use his body instead of his hands to smother the ball. All his great catches are over his head where he has to use his hands... Hope he works on that...

I agree that Ronnie doesn't seem to be able to 'read' D's very well yet and he still seems to dance around behind the line a little bit before making his cut through the hole, but I think there are 2 reasons for this:

1) This is his rookie season, he's not even the full-time starter and he wasn't really a #1 guy in college either. Because of this, he's not yet a polished RB, instead he is a diamond in the rough type.

2) Though our line play has improved this season there have been numerous running plays I've seen where absolutely no hole exists (I honestly don't think our running attack would be all that potent if it weren't for R & R)

IMO, the bottom line is that Ronnie still needs to be more decisive (like Ricky seems to be). THis being said however, Ronnie is a beast and will continue to get better. I'm glad that we drafted him with our #2 pick because he is such a versatile player (runs, catches, blocks, etc.). He runs with power and he has wheels when he hits the open field. Looking forward to watching him for many more years in a Fins uni.

I agree... I think there will be some improvement on these areas. I love his speed though. Very quick for his size. I didn't want to sound like I was critical of Ronnie. I actually like him and think he will be a great player.

Exactly, I'm not trying to sound too critical either but it seems as if some people already think Ronnie is the best RB in the league when this is clearly not the case. He does have all the physical tools, he seems to be very 'football smart' and he is improving on a consistent basis. He is definitely not at the top of the RB list right now but could very well be in the future. Size, speed, strength, hands, blocking ability, football smarts...he pretty much has it all and he will be a joy to watch every Sunday starting this week at SD

I agree.. could be very interesting and entertaining to see him grow the next couple years.
