Back to the Future.......2002....2011....

man that was the year.... we choked against a bad minnesota team and blew an 11 point NE lead. Who knows what would have happened if we got into the playoffs with that team.

I would love to see this be true. If the oline can all of a sudden be steady that i think we will be a sleeper team.

everyone knows Bush is better than Greene.

There's a reason Reggie didn't get a ton of carries, as his carries went up his production went down and he couldn't stay healthy.
"as his carries went up his production went down" is not based on fact. It is true that his ypc was higher in seasons with fewer carries, but he runs completely different since 2009 than he did in 2006. And that is more of the reason for the improved ypc...and his injuries were from PR, not hand offs..never been hurt on a running play. So there's no correlation there either.

Reggie Bush is the the real deal people will realize this after the monday night game. reggie bush has never shown me anything to think this guy cannot do that. all it takes is one good run a game from reggie ( 25+ yds) plus about 13 - 15 small 3 - 5 yd gains and he will have great stats this season

The Denver game that year was one of my favorite games of all time, but it came at a hell of a price. Chambers got knocked out cold by Kenoy Kennedy that night, Fiedler broke his thumb, and I think that was the game Gadsden got messed up in too. We just weren't the same.
I had a lot of fun rubbing it in Denver fans faces after that game. Shame that game was the one that led to Ray Lucas playing a pretty large role in ruining that season.

Nice thread and good post by OP.

I am worried about our RT, but other than that, i think the Phins will have a decent OL and will have some success running the ball. Henne has to do his part by keeping defenses honest when they put 8 in the box like they did SOOOOO much last year.

GO PHINS~!

Funny, a Back to the Future thread and Nike releases the McFly sneakers, going for ridiculous prices.

If that is the case why didn't NO give him more carries?

2006: 9.7 carries per game
2007: 13.1 carries per game
2008: 10.6
2009: 5
2010: 4.5

If it was clear he has run differently since 2009 why didn't his carries per game go up? Why wouldn't NO want to take advantage of that? You can make all the excuses you want but the man has to prove he is durbale to be a feature back. He is a playmaker but his track record shows the more carries he gets the less productive he gets.

if the jets had Pierre Thomas Greene would lose carries also, its not always about stats. He has shared a work load his whole career.

Now it's b/c of Pierre Thomas? what is the next excuse? The bottom line is if Bush was a different RB in '08 & '09 they would have found ways to get him the ball more. Reggie is a dynamic player in short spurts, I don't believe he can be a feature back. I could be wrong, we'll see but nothing he has shown since coming into this league suggest he can be a guy who gets 200+ carries a year.

Yea - and let's not forget Olindo's Kick-off that went out of bounds that handed the Pats the game in the end.

So Johnson has to be the featured back? Are we down to that? Or is it going to be running back by committee? Because the question that is still unanswered is who is going to get the bulk of the carries.
