Watching the preseason games IMO is see better depth than the last years with a lot of promise. However, I don't like our backup quarterbacks. I know a lot of fans like Matt Moore, but he can't beat good teams on a regular basis, and still makes a lot of mistakes. Doughty and Fale are no threat to anyone.

We need to look for another veteran QB for backup and draft one (no later than the 3rd round) in the off season. We need to be developing a young QB.

What do the rest of you think?

I think we're fine. Moore has proven he can come in and win big games. He was bad in our 2 losses but we weren't beating NE or Pittsburgh with Ryan at QB. We had too many special teamers masquerading as defenders at that point. Pittsburgh would have scored at will even if our offense was better.

Matt Moore has never, ever, ever, ever looked goo in a preseason game. It didn't stop him from getting 2 much needed wins to get this team to the playoffs last year. Preseason means nothing, until it's all we have I guess.

We're not keeping 3 QBs on the roster. It's Cutler and Moore for the season. Question is who is the practice squad QB? I don't see anything in Doughty and Fales worth investing in...what's going to be on the waiver wire that we can put on the practice squad. Has to be someone with less than 3 years on a practice squad or less than 1 year in the league that gets cut.

Regardless of Tannehill, I think we should have been drafting or acquiring young talent at the QB position a long time ago, especially though when this supposed "QB guru" became our HC last year. Matt Moore is an overrated band-aid.
