If Gus wins the starting job, and I said if, does that mean we will immediately start looking into potential FA QBs for next year?

Yes, after the season right? Or are you talking about this season? After the season I see us taking a QB in the draft if AJ doesn't pan out.

after the season, do you think he would draft him early rather going after a veteran, the San Diego situation looks interesting

yes I think so and I would like to get Omar Jacobs, or if we dont do good this year Vince Young.

If Gus is to win the starting job this year and hold on to it for most if not the whole season then i would see us looking to the draft or even to the free agent market to see whos available. Now if Gus wins it and is injured or does not play well and Feeley does play well then i could see us drafting a qb but sticking it out with Frerrote and Feeley until that quarterback progresses. Bottom line we want Feeley to be our future is he not sure Frerrote is going to stop the bleeding. Hes here because he can win is a veteran and knows the system of Linehan. But by no means is he a long term fix

No!!! We Draft!! That Would Put Feeley Out, But I Don't See Gus Winning The Starting Job.

You Are Absolutely Correct. Gus Is In Because He Knows The System. He Can Help Feeley. He Is Not The Starter. He Is 34 Years Old. Aj Has A Great Arm. He Has The Tools Just Give Him A Chance. Linehan Is Impressed With Feeley. Feeley Now Has An O-line Coach, Chambers, Booker, Mcmichael, Boston, Brown, Williams?

Derek Crudup Is Terrible!!!!!! We Should Have Drafted Kyle Orton!!!!

I don't get why they should've drafted Orton, or any QB in the later rds. I would think that if Feeley & Gus were both bad, and they went to the rookie, who would be considered a developmental prospect than if he failed, another QB would probably be the 1st pick in '06, or atleast a 1st day pick thus making the late rd QB pick a wasted pick, unless he played great. If Gus wins the job, and AJ takes over at some point he's gonna have to be great, not good, to be brought back in '06. I don't know his contract numbers, but I think Aj gets a pay increase after this year. If Aj flops than Gus is probably on the team in '06 to mentor the young QB.

No we shouldn't. He got benched his senior season. You don't draft someone like that.

I wish Dan Marino was here.... :boohoo:

- If you have a chance , get some videos of Dan from the '80's. Fantastic stuff. The guy carried the team his entire career.

- Prime Marino would have had last year and this year's in the playoffs.

You hit it right on the mark my friend. People don't realize that Marino was what made Miami contenders for years unfortunatly he wasn't able to do it alone in the big games...which is why the better TEAM usually wins. =( Without Marino i do believe the Fins might have been the laughing stock for years instead of the perennial contenders they were. Ohh and i just recently got hold of Marino's first start in week 6 in 1983 on DVD. Wow...fun to watch the good old days.
