Between the clock management in the Texans game, the really really weird 3'rd and short calls lately, a few questionable decisions on personnel use earlier the year, AND the blown timeouts in the early 4'th quarter instead of saving them for when needed, Sparano has mad some bad choices.

If Henning is really sending that play into the game in THAT situation, a fade call on a 4'th and freaking 1 in the cold and wind???

I'm sorry but he needs to say no to that call and either kick the field goal or run Polite/Brown....

We're lucky it didn't cost us the game...

Seriously what is with burning 2 timeouts with over 9 minutes left in the game???? That's happened way too often this year, we could have needed those timeouts for a last minute drive etc.

I definitely think that we should ignore the fact that we have had one of the most effective and efficient offensive attacks in the game, which is one of the biggest reasons why we are experiencing one of the greatest turnarounds in NFL history, and totally roast our coaching staff for a few bad decisions.

we have won 8 of the last 9... i think they're doing something right... ACTUALLY, it's all bc of Penny.

Pennington has done a fantastic job, but a lot of the big plays we've gotten were ones drawn up by the coaching staff to utilize our complementary player's talent. Look at what guys like Cobbs, Haynos, Politte have done when their number is called. We still aren't extraordinarily talented on offense and yet, through both ingenuity and great QB play, we've done a tremendous job.

I like the fade call to Haynos

it was a big mismatch with awful execution

and our banged up OL is kinda sucking with run blocking these days

Henning has to go. Period.

Agree, that fade call could have ended our playoff hopes. Not to mention the freakin fumble by Ricky rumble machine williams i want a dubbie right now as long as it is fresh for me and my meditation. Rather than running it up the gut on a 4 and 1, "which is the logical thing to do numnuts". You throw a freakin fade to a NO name damn TE who probably cant even spell his name backwards? WTH. Here then rather than puttin the freakin kneee on the ground and letting your kicker close out the damn game you give it to ricky i want to fumble the ball in a critical situation to end the season ? Grow a damn brain whoever is running these plays back there needs to get it together. And i mean that in a good way, ...period.

I cant believe how negative some people are. Like it was said above, you cant give Pennington all the credit, the fact were putting up 38 on anyone with the offensive firepower we have is impressive. I get equally as frusturated with some calls in certain situations, but on a macro look i think Henning is doing fantastic.

Your right, we should ignore the fact that this is Sparano's first year as a head coach. How dare he make some poor gametime decisions while being the catylist to one of the greatest turnarounds in the history of the NFL!!

Bill Parcels should suspend him for one game, and take over the duties himself.

BTW, that was all crap. Sparano is fine, there will be some growing pains for this team and a first year coach. Relax and enjoy being on the doorstep to our first playoff birth in 8 years.

I seriously can't believe some of these posts I'm reading. I haven't been in love with every play I've seen run this year, but Dan Henning has done a good job with basically only two starting material WRs all year, one of whom is on injured reserve right now. And people complaining about our run blocking...how many guards do we have on injured reserve right now???

And the people bashing Ricky have to stop...Ricky has done quite a few things to help us win this year, as have Ronnie and Patrick. Some of the posts I've seen here tonight seem to reflect a belief that if Ronnie or Patrick would have carried that ball, they never would have fumbled and Ricky would have fumbled every time. I would have preferred a couple kneel downs to run more time off the clock and then kick a field goal, but honestly, if Ricky scored on that goalline run, would any of you be sitting here tonight saying, "Wow, running it with Ricky was REALLY risky seeing how he fumbles all the time." Get off Ricky's back! He along with a lot of others on the team made plays to win today.

This coaching staff will make some mistakes occasionally, as all the best ones do. The important thing is that they do many more positive actions that outweigh those mistakes, something Wannstedt, Saban and Cameron/Mueller (ugh...those two still make my skin crawl!!!!) didn't do.

If Haynos doesn't fall down and makes the grab then you'd all be talking about what a great play call it was. Gimme a break - sometimes the gutsy/creative calls don't work out in your favor - it comes with the territory of being a coach with balls. Given that Henning, coming into this job, had a rap of being too conservative, I think he's doing the best coordinating of his career, and I certainly won't mind at all if he sticks around another year.

I do agree we should have run Polite on that 4th and 1 (or kicked the FG), but at this point, I think this coaching staff is doing an amazing job and doesn't warrant this extent of questioning from a bunch of couch jockeys.

Henning has to go. Period.

What on Earth are you thinking? Name one offensive coordinator who has been better for us over the last decade. Name any other coordinator who hasn't had a play or two that was a bad call. These things happen, but darnit the percentages of what plays have worked for this offense and what has not are probably among the absolute best in the league. I don't know why people here can't see that.

If you think you are so smart, why don't you play NFL head coach on the 360 and tell me that you don't have 2-3 plays a game that didn't work like you thought they would. The reality is that while Henning does make some mistakes, he has brought a lot of innovation to this offense and played a huge role in the biggest turnaround in NFL history.

You guys are whining about a game where we scored 38 points, and none of those on defensive TD's. Its just ludicrous to think that after that type of performance, and despite the fact that we have won 8 of 9 largely through an incredibly efficient offense that effectively keeps the opponent off the field, you want Henning gone.

Maybe you miss the days of Norv Turner's run left, run right, pass and punt, but I'm not that into it.

Seriously what is with burning 2 timeouts with over 9 minutes left in the game???? That's happened way too often this year, we could have needed those timeouts for a last minute drive etc.
well I rather use timeouts than turn the ball over.

Henning has to go. Period.

I disagree. One of the reasons why this team is 10-5 after 16 weeks is because of Dan Henning's offense and Chad's familiarity with it. Without Henning, we wouldn't be 10-5.

Here's a question ... why do you expect the Dolphins to be better than the Chiefs? What makes the Dolphins so much better than the Chiefs? Dolphins were worse than the Chiefs at this point last year. I don't see that much more talent on the Dolphins than the Chiefs. I would take Bowe and Gonzales over any of the targets Pennington has.

So why aren't the Dolphins as bad as the Chiefs? Sparano has coached his talent up better than they are.

This team has 5-11 talent, and is Sparano turning it into a possible 11-5 team. Something tells me he's made five times as many great calls as bad ones, but why do I see an overwhelming majority of posts by resident football experts on the bad calls?
