Years ago, I remember Shula being asked about luck. He said, "Bad luck is having a bad QB. Good luck is having a good QB." With the talk about CPep's "injury", I am all for starting Harrington. For whatever reason (injury, new offense, etc), CPep is playing AWFUL. He is NOT the QB he was 2 years ago. In short, he's a bad QB right now.
If we want our "luck" to change we have to change our QB. I don't see how Harrington cannot be anything but an improvement over CPep. Give it a try and lets' see what happens. If he ends up beating out CPep for the starting job - too bad. It's a competitive sport.
I'm not worried about CPep's "psyche" if he gets benched. That's baloney. I AM worried about what his poor play is doing to the "psyche" of the whole team, the fans, and the prganization. It's time to make a change.

Amen to that. CP is hurting the team right now. Maybe in the future, when he is healed up he can return to form. Right now he needs to be helping Joey break down the defense by using his clipboard.

You Whiners....make Me Sick...i'm Glad That Your Decisions Don't Count For $hyt.....

Get an O line to protect Pep and we will see what he can do. And Ronnie too!!

exactly.if you give ANY QB TIME to throw the ball they will do well with it.when ive watched cpep this season he makes the good throws when no one is in his face but if there is someone there, thats when his bad decision making comes into play.

We are all crying right now shag.

Constructive comments are always welcome, but I know what you mean

I'm no whiner or a crybaby. FACT: Culpepper is NOT 100%. Everybody, including Culpepper, admits to that. IF he gets well and can play like he did in MN, great. Until then, we are not doing him or the team any favors by letting him play while unhealthy. It also puts him at great risk to be re-injured.
Quit blaming the OL. He had 6 seconds on one play to pass the ball in the Houston game and still got sacked. If you remember back to the pre-season, Harrington looked ALOT better behind the SECOND string OL than CPep did behind the first string OL.
Sit him until he gets well. Then, let him play and see how he does. We only have 12 games left and there is still time to save this season. You'll be doing him and the team a favor.

Far be it from me to badmouth Shula, who proved that he knew a thing or two about football in his years as head coach. But if we consider that scenario all we have to know about a QB, then there is no room there for "QB on a terrible team," so there's no room for the standard apology for Joey.

We have only one question to ask, was Joey good luck for the Lions or bad? So, if all we have to know about Duante is what has happened to the team, what does that tell us about a "quarterback on a bad team"?

I wonder why Tom Brady line is so good is it because NE always can find O-lineman low in the draft or because they have a QB who can get rid of the ball reads D and checks off to the right receiver and is fearless.

Eli Manning was sacked 5 times against the Eagles but rallied them to a win. If you want to stop teams from blitzing the hell out of you make them pay.
