I have noticed during the preseason we have had some very long sustained drives in the range of 15-18 plays for 75-85 yds. I believe this is our MO now, we will wear out opposing defenses and as the game goes on we get stronger.
I believe we scored more 4th qtr points last year than anybody else, and WE ARE BETTER NOW. I think our run game is gonna surprise alot of Folks tomorrow night.
GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!

i agree and hopefully it keeps up with some red zone completions. But I'll take Mare points anyday.

alot better than Lucas,Fiedler, Feely, Rosefelds, and Ferrotte 3 and outs as our MO :tantrum:

Id just like to get an early lead and make them try and play catch up with Batch all day

We certainly have better tools for ball control and sustained drives now than we had last year. We outscored our opponents BIG time in the 4th qtr, I suspect due to Saban's coaching and conditioning program. But also possibly because it seemed to take us 3 qtrs to get our caca together. Hopefully this year with DC we get things going a lot earlier and outscore our opponents in EVERY quarter!

lets hope so

We didn't score the most 4th quarter points, just the highest percentage of our points in the 4th quarter. 43.7% if I'm not mistaken.

we gotta establish the run tommorrow that will be the key thing.if we cant run the ball we will be in trouble

Joey Porter is shooting his mouth off again saying that although the Dolphins do have talent on offense, the Steelers have enough talent on defense to shut them down. He said they had no problem two years ago when they came to Miami and the game was played two days earlier because of the hurricane that was passing through. The Steelers won the game 13-3 and a lot has changed since that day Joey....
First we have a new coach in Nick Saban, maybe you heard of him before, he coached L.S.U. to the National Championship a few years ago.
Now we have a legitimate starting QB, not some cast off third string QB who is mediocre at best, we also have two good back up QB's who are very capable of leading this team to victory.
To say we were handcuffed with a poor head coach the last time would be a huge understatement, our players are very motivated now and play with confidence that was lacking under the old regime.
We feel our defense is every bit as good as your Steelers defense and will gladly prove it to you on Thursday night.
Yes you did win the Super Bowl this past season, but really, how many people really think that the game wasn't fixed by the refs???
That all doesn't matter this year, it's a new season and a new champion will be crowned....the Miami Dolphins! :D :dolphins: :cooldude:

I totally agree that ball control is key thats why I hope Culpepper doesnt get the fumbles like he has in years past because it will be crucial. If Culpepper handles all his snaps clean and doesnt throw any ints I think we will win.

Joey can talk all he wants.. When Jt ,Carter and Big Daddy take Charlie Batch down for five sacks, who's going to qb for them then? batch cannot survive the pash rush he's going to face...Capers will have the guys jailbreaking all night. There may be 7 sacks by the time crowder, Zach and the DLine finish with those guys. Porter is going to be so tired of playing defense he will need an IV by the third qtr...

Both offensive teams look like mirror images of each other, except Batch looks more like Harrington. I doubt more than thirty total points get scored as both teams protect well against big strikes. Our secondary is the unit that most worries me. I don't know if they are together yet?

Expect spread and shotgun formations from Pitt to negate our DL strength and expose our secondary. I also expect us to run more than people think we will. Probably some standout special teams plays, unfortunately, I think it will be Pitt who has them. This game will be close.

I just hope our line can hold off their pass rush and our corners to a do a fair job. If that happens, we win ease. It's that simple.
