OK, ok we all are in a state of shock. We are not exactly tearing up the NFL with our 1-2 record after playing one contenter and two high school teams. After all the writters made us this years media darlings we are not exactly where we had all hoped. But hey we are what we are, and we have the talent to become a solid contender this year. And with the way our schedule has helped us we still have time to get back in this, maybe as soon as this week. Don't be surprised to see us tied for first in our division by Monday morning.
But with all of that said lets start to look at the effect we have in all of this. We are just the fans. We can't win games, but if you look at the fan base of the steelers where they never have a road game because their fans buy out the seats at away games and are louder than the home fans. You start to see how the fans can have some effect. Pitt had not won a SB in over 25 years either yet their fans were always selling out their place and mostly very supportive. You have to support your team in the bad times more than in the good. The bad times is when they need you the most. They need to know we are on their side and things will get turned around. We can make that process take longer, like we are doing now, or we can quit stupid threads like "lets start Joey crap" and start being supportive fans like those of teams that win SBs.
Lets look our own lives. What if we were treated like the way we treat our team. What if others didn't forgive us in the bad times or when we made mistakes. What if every time we through the remote at the wife for talking during pregame she got mad and left?? Who would then bring us beer?? Mod Edit Who then would mow our yard? Would it get left for us to do, MAYBE EVEN DURING SUNDAY FOOTBALL??? What if every time we saw the cat sharpening her claws on the curtains, and we pulled our 38 off our coffee table and shot at her, barely missing, while putting a whole in the floor, what if she treated us like we treat our team?? What if she gave up on us?? Who then would catch the hundreds or mice around here?? Or who would be there to kick when Mare missed another chip shot FG?? These my dear fellow fin fans are the questions you should be asking yourself. Take a good long look at yourself, and look at how things could be worse if we were treated like we treat our team.

Horrible analogy. The whole purpose for the NFL is to entertain. The players and coaches get paid good money to play a game. They enjoy a lifestyle that is in the top 1% in the richest society ever created in human history. To equate some people for hobby criticizing these prima donna's and comparing that to abusing your wife or cat is immature, illogical, and absurd.

The team should thank God in heaven that people are here talking about them, good or bad. That at least means they care. You think your local semi-pro team is happier because no one is criticizing them? Hell no. No one gives a damn about them.

The bad times are not when they "need" us most. They need us all the time, talking good and bad, spending money, and paying attention.

This post may be the most asinine post I have read in the past year. :shakeno:

dude, i only skimmed all tht text man. saw something about stellers having fans at everygame, etc etc..
i will say, that our home attendance is embarrassing.. flat out.

we cant have a home field advantage, if there is no home field advantage...

we play two types of games... neutral, and away. and we do pretty good for that.

I think I am going to print this and hand it to my boss, coworkers or customers anytime that I am underperforming and someone calls me on it.

LMAO!!! So sad, you do realize this was tongue in cheek, right??
BTW the other team gets paid the same as ours. The amount of money a team does or doesn't get is totally irrelavent. Either you are helping or hurting your team. I guess it is pretty easy to see which side you are on.

Either we have some big ol rednecks on this site, or people have not had enough or their morning coffee to see the humor. Come on people this was funny.

 No doubt. How would you like to work for this guy? "I know a suck, but you are still required by Ktown to give me a hug--and a raise".

This is great. Because his "joke" wasn't funny, we must be either red-necks or out of coffee. Or maybe your standard for humor is as low as it is for the Fins. In that case, I'm :sidelol: !!!!

Dude my wife probably would get up and leave if I threw my remote at her , if the players are seriously crying about some boos my advice to them is to grow up. They have tons of fans supporting them, if they want to focus on the negative ones that's their problem. They know what business they're in.

everyone on this site is a hardcore fan, but it only takes one more win and a couple losses, jets pats to have alot of people climbing back on board
