barber works out for dolphins

This actually makes sense.

The FO thinks this is 2004. They are trying to lock up Favre and Barber. Good move IMO!

Why doesn't our team just make a list of 50 players who are washed up and/or injury prone and bring every damn one of them in for workouts.

So First we thought we were getting rid of this regime......TS & Co stays.
Next we thought we were getting a QB in the draft...... We Didnt.
Next we thought we were picking up a QB in FA.... We havent.
Next we thought we were getting Bradshaw or Williams.... We Didnt.
Now we hear that Tiki worked out for the Fins....
So what do I think?
F*ck it at this point we have nothing to loose.

Who is next, Emmit Smith ? Ricky would be a lot better signing IMO

ya I was thinking Marion Barber too.

I mean hey, it doesnt hurt to bring people into camp and see who can beat out who. Just because Tiki is there, doesnt mean he'll make the roster. Just because Carey is pushed to RG, doesnt mean he wont be RT by season start. Just because Matt Moore is here, doesnt mean he'll be the starter. You bring guys in to compete and give a challenge to the starters..

Do you really want Henne competing against Brandstater? Or Daniel Thomas competing against Hilliard? or Carey competing against Murtha? Yikes, there's no point in trying to better yourself since you already got the job lol.

Seems like divorce has hit hard athletes who left the game before the game left them. A healthy Tiki Barber is usually about the same kind of player that Reggie is coming out the backfield plus the ability to provide a great punt or kickoff returner, and perhaps a better understanding of running the ball at a professional level. You need about 2 great returners in the team so this isn't something bad. Let's not forget that Tiki does have some strong football knowledge as well and is a very smart player.

Rumor has it that 500 pound William Refrigerator Perry is being brought in for a workout. Sparano says he has position flexibility in that he can line up in the backfield in short yardage situations as well as play d-line. Says it doesn't matter that Perry is over 50 years old

If we get him, he could help mentor Thomas and contribute to the team. What's the big deal? I mean it's not like they are going to pay top dollar for him or anything.

Fins are smart by bringing in guys for a look. Doesn't hurt them to look, does it? Information is power

Glazer's take. I'm all for bringing in a veteran....but he's a little too veteran.
