barber works out for dolphins

lets see.

36 year old running back who has been out of football for several years now, and we bring him in for a workout.

on the other hand, you got a wr out their in braylon edwards, who despite some of his off the field issues, is on the market, prob wont cost lots of money at a 1 year deal due to little interest, yet we dont look at him.

makes sense.

:rolleyes2:But didn't they promise Reggie Bush they wouldn't sign anymore RB's? :rolleyes2: In all seriousness though I wouldn't be too opposed to bringing in Barber for a look. The one player I don't want to see them get rid of because of a logjam of mediocre RB's on the roster though is Grigsby.

Actually what they told Reggie was they wouldn't go after Bradshaw or Ronnie.

This doesn't make a ton of sense since you got Bush since I would expect Tiki to be more of a pass catching back at this stage of his career but any team that signs him it will be worth the risk. he won't get big dollars and if he can't play you can cut him w/ no cap penalty. I think he's going to be productive for whoever signs him.

I suspect we can bring Ricky back for slightly more $ and get 5x the production. This team needs a guy that can step in if our unproven rookie cant handle the load, isnt ready, or hits the rookie wall(my biggest fear). Ricky's done it before and can probably do it again. Barber hasnt stepped onto a field in 5 years.

Sparoni will hold a grudge for how Rick bashed him in the offseason. No chance.

Tiki Barber did retire at the peak of his career... and had a great career... I don't see what's wrong with working him out or even signing him for very little, as long as we get Thomas enough snaps.

Doesn't this tell you that the Dolphins might actually be depressingly stuck in a mediocre circle jerk for the forseeable future? There's a reason why we're depressed. As for me, my descent to the darkside of fandom began with the draft of Ronnie Brown. I think I made like 50 posts that draft day of how dumb it was.

Officially done with this team! I'll be back when I feel there are competent men in the front office. Until then I will not waste time or money on this "team". See you hopefully in the near future.

Bye. seriously, don't come back.
