Im glad that hes not playing this year...i think he has the worst attiude in baseball...he was giving everyting on a silver platter...It must be easy to have Willie Mays as ur Godfather... I hope he dose not beat ruths reacord because of his attiudie.. and cause of the fact that he took steriods and is not admiting to it...
 
how does having Willy Mays as a godfather mean you were given everything on a silver platter? Bonds was at the plate hitting the ball not Willy.
 
Yawn...like all these other prima donna athletes, I'll care when he's back between the white lines.
 
for whatever reason MLB decided to protect Barry above all others in the steroid scandal, and Congress played along by not subpeona-ing him.

im betting he got a call from Selig yesterday saying "with Palmeiro's story breaking, we dont want you to come back this year Barry."

conveniently, a couple weeks ago both Victor Conte (Balco) and Barry's best-friend-since-childhood-personal-trainer (whose handwriting he claims to have never seen and who he took steroids from without questioning what they were) got sweet plea agreements from the Feds, so that they wouldnt testify in an actual trial and Barry wouldnt have to either.

Bonds is a joke, like Palmerio, McGwire, and Sosa, just for starters... and so are any records any of them set.

I totally agree. There are a LOT of people falling on their swords for Barry Bonds. It'll be interesting to see how this era is judged 20 years from now, whether the records set will be discredited or whether it'll all be water under the bridge.
 
This is baseball's recession like the NFL had in the 80's. Eventually itll blow over. But I hate baseball and this gives me more reasons why.

No it's not...baseball's recession was after the 1994 strike. Steroids saved the sport in 1998 when Sosa and McGwire had their home run chase. Yeah, I said it: steroids saved baseball. I'm not condoning their use, but they played a huge role.
 
I hope Bonds does break the record. He is an amazing hitter...with our without steroids.

He had money when he was born...His dad playing and his godfather willi mays he had an easy life...

So what? Griffey had money when he was born and his dad played. A lot of players have family members who played, or werent born poor. That doesnt mean they had everything handed to them, or that they dont deserve to have good things happen to them. Just because he wasnt born poor you dont like him?

Jt0323, there's a lot of reasons to dislike Bonds, but the fact that he grew up with a silver spoon in his mouth isn't among them. Get over it.
