Barry Jackson Article: Great Notes and Insight...Discuss Away

1:30 am on Saturday night. True loyalty to the schizophrenic mess known as the Dolphins.

So the Dolphins have the fewest snaps played amongst it's first four picks from the 2013 draft. Not surprising Sanford played over Taylor when Patterson went out. Giving up four out of four for 100 yards is ridiculous. Gillislee not being able to beat out a bad Daniel Thomas, Dallas Thomas is garbage thus far, Sturgis has struggled yet for some reason Ross and still some fans swear Ireland is a worthy GM.

How in the **** Ross could even consider keeping Ireland and Aponte is beyond me.

Can we sticky this article to evaluate how this draft class played at the end of the year?

surprised there are 8 teams worse at picking up a yard than us, figured we were bottom 5 at least.

3/4 full stadium after spending $100 million on wide receivers and the team sitting pretty at 3-1 can't be sitting well with Ross.

the player's have two different skill sets, i would suspect Gillislee would see significant time if (god forbid) Lamar Miller were to get injured

Production outweighs skill set. If Gillislee is out performing Thomas and still behind him on the depth chart then this coaching staff is worse than what I am seeing on the surface.

Wait, so one of your biggest takeaways from that article is the ticket sales? It seems like some spend more time watching the stands than watching the game (from their TVs, ironically). Also conveniently ignore the number of season tickets they sold 7 years ago, when people started realizing the mediocrity/garbage football wasn't just a slight downturn but an epidemic.

Back on topic, which was 98% not "blame the fans related."

On short yardage stop running thomas and give clay the opportunity to get us that 1 yard

Not sure how you got that I was blaming the fans, what I was getting at is Ross has tried just about everything to get the fans back, everything except to get rid of one of the few guys directly responsible for getting fans in the seats: the General Manager.

Hoping Ross is thinking that way anyway.

3rd and short to me is one of our biggest issues, sorting that out would make a huge difference. Thomas clearly isn't the answer, Clay could be part of the answer but I don't think the whole answer.

So basically Philbin stays no matter what and not many answers to all of our other offseason questions.

I think Lousaka Polite is still available. He was a first down machine when he was with Miami. I don't like Thomas on 3rd and short, he seems hesitant.
