Those guys were impressive last night. They really fire off the ball but Marshawn Lynch makes the first guy miss 95% of the time. Even when he gets hit he falls forward for an extra 2 yards. He had to have broke double digit tackles yesterday. The pass blocking by the line isn't great but they don't pass much anyway (and Britt got away with a lot of holding too...so much for calling these game tighter).

I liked the fake zone read play and then the pass by Wilson early in the game...something I thought Tannehill would take advantage of sometimes this year.

yeah that was a nice play the fake zone read act like you are gonna keep it a few steps and then toss it over the coverage...although that was all about a blown assignment by the corner...clay matthews had the outside contain and was in position...it's hard though cause a corner off that action if he's looking in is gonna want to get upfield and contain it...he sees the qb keep the ball and more importantly take a few steps to the flat and he's coming forward to help tackle

still if the safety doesnt make a horrid tackle attempt it's a 15 yard gain

Who is "it"? Who said "it"? That Jordan cannot split reps?

The Miami Dolphins will not be considering using Dion Jordan at linebacker this season. The team already has Cameron Wake and Olivier Vernon at the defensive end position, but have struggles at the linebacker position.

Jordan was taken at the top of the draft last season and there have been a lot of question marks on the way the team has used him on defense. He is talented athletically, but the team has not been able to take advantage of his skills on the defensive side at this point.

Here are some thoughts from Coach Philbin on the use of Jordan on defense.

“We’ve used him some in some of those sub packages,” Philbin said. “But there’s only X amount of time that you have on the practice field and you have to decide how you want him to spend his time.

“One of those things we wanted him to practice on a continual basis is pass rush, get off, operating sometimes from 3-point sometimes from 2-point but rushing the passer. If you’re going to rep him and give him the opportunity to compete as a linebacker you’re taking him out of that element a little bit and there’s practice time. You’ve got to kind of put your money where your mouth is. If you want him to be a pass rusher and a guy that can be utilized in coverage as a linebacker in sub to me that’s where you’ve got to spend your time.” – Palm Beach Post

The Seahawks are impressive. The Packers are who they have been: a team with a great QB, some good receivers, and not much else. Soft on defense and can't handle the zone read plays.

IMO Seattle will be the first repeat champion since the Pats.

if you are gonna beat seattle you got to stop the run...plain and simple...although that oc dials up so many variations of things to run out of it's gonna be quite the task...they ran that jet sweep yesterday over and over and to my knowledge never once had to run the action but hand the ball off to the rb to set it up...

we aren't gonna be that lucky with our run game...

The good news is we play the Packers at home. IMO what we saw from their defense last night was not a fluke. They have been crushed by the 49ers the last 2 years because they simply can't deal with those option plays. I expect us to run a lot of them on Packers week.
