I know most of you don't like talking about the playoffs at this point in time. But I am curious about those who may be interested in them, what their choice would be between the 2 scenarios that NYCPHAN outlined... Just a fun topic to discuss...

Scenario 1:
  • COLTS is AFC South title and have 1st round BYE
  • The BENGALS would be the favorite for the AFC North title and the other BYE.
  • BRONCOS is AFC West title
  • PASTIES is AFC East Title
  • JAGUARS the favorite for the first wildcard
  • FINS get the second wildcard
FINS will have to play DENVER and with a win and irregardless of the result of the JAGS and the PATSIES, play the COLTS!!!

Scenario 2:
  • COLTS is AFC South title and have 1st round BYE
  • The BENGALS would be the favorite for the AFC North title and choke and give the it to the BRONCOS
  • BRONCOS is still the favorite for the AFC West title and the other BYE.
  • PASTIES is AFC East Title
  • JAGUARS the favorite for the first wildcard
  • FINS get the second wildcard
FINS will have to play the BENGALS and with a win and irregardless of the result of the JAGS and the PATSIES, play the COLTS!!! TALL F@#$ing ORDER!

Scenario 3:
  • COLTS is AFC South title and have 1st round BYE
  • The BENGALS would be the favorite for the AFC North title and the other BYE.
  • BRONCOS is AFC West title

  • FINS is AFC East Title
  • JAGUARS is still the favorite for the first wildcard
  • STEELERS currently favored for the second wildcard, depending on KC and SD's performances
FINS will have a home game against the STEELERS or maybe SD or KC.
BRONCOS will play the JAGS. You could also swap out the JAGS for 1st wild card for any of the other 3 that are qualified for the second wild card... IT only changes who the FINS play at home...
  • If the BRONCOS and FINS win, FINS play the COLTS
  • If the JAGS win and the FINS win, FINS play the BENGALS
Scenario 4:
  • COLTS is AFC South title and have 1st round BYE
  • The BENGALS would be the favorite for the AFC North title and choke and give the it to the BRONCOS
  • BRONCOS is still the favorite for the AFC West title and the other BYE.
  • FINS is AFC East Title
  • JAGUARS is still the favorite for the first wildcard
  • STEELERS currently favored for the second wildcard, depending on KC and SD's performances
FINS will have a home game against the STEELERS or maybe SD or KC.

  • If the BENGALS and FINS win, FINS play the COLTS
  • If the JAGS win and the FINS win, FINS play the BRONCOS
Bottom line is we would end up playing with the 3 most potent offenses in the league. Scenario 2 has us playing the top 2 offenses in a row!!!
  • COLTS
  • BENGALS
  • BRONCOS
Which would you prefer to play and why? :D :D :D

Any way we go we will probally have to play the colts eventually so im not scared or worried either way

seriously though... I would love to see the Colts win out the regular season then lose to US in the playoffs... that might make the 85 Bears feel a little better... (was that in 85?)

yep 85

We lit the bears up when they thought they were goin undefeated :D

If were in the playoffs I dont care who we play. I just would like to see my team play in the post season for the first time in too long.

Wouldn't that just be GREAT!!! Defeating the COLTS to not only ruin their run on the undefeated season, but also advance to the AFC CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

BRING IT ON BABY!!!

Well they would still have an undefeated regular season

BUT

If we won the playoff game it would stop them at 16-0

which 72 we were 17-0 including playoffs

Lets send the colts packing at 16-1

Oh and do you know how much media attention that game would get? It would be through the roof

AMEN BUBBA! And with the way they played the CHARGERS, I think that could move deep into it!!!

exactly ride a 6 game winning streak into the playoffs, and getting a break from the pats, we would have a good chance of winning a game or maybe 2. I dont think this team is going to the superbowl by any means, but you never know. I personally didn't think they would be SD either.

I would love to see the Dolphins get the oppurtunity to defend the perfect season. I really wish we had Indy on our schedule this year. We used to knocked the snot out of Peyton and have great wins when we used to play them every year. The chances of us playing them are near impossible so hopefully somebody else can knock them off.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but, in order for us to make the play offs we need to win out and The Pats, Steelers, and KC need to loose out, while the Chargers need to drop the next 2 of 3...

right?

IT would be through the roof!!! They would probably have all the 72 team together somewhere, if not the game, and it would be a frenzy!!!

Even DAN the MAN would be a part of it because he was the one to keep the BEARS from doing it last!!!
