Would it be accurate to forecast that we will end the season in last place in our division? If not, who will be the last divisional team and why?

What does your crystal ball say? :ponder:

I think if you were betting money you'd be wise to bet Miami in 4th but if things break right they could be in 2nd. Things change fast in this league, you never know but it's more likely they will be in 4th.

I think we will finish 3rd in the division not sure sure why just a hunch I guess.

The schedule is favorable, but the Dolphins are also giving a lot of young players opportunities and have an entirely new coaching staff. That could help down the road, but might hurt them this season. Honestly, I think it comes down to Miami and New York battling for that final spot. Saying that, I think the Dolphins are headed in the right direction and could be one offseason away from becoming serious contenders.

There was a time when you could automatically pick Buffalo and be close most of the time. Those days are gone IMO.

I think the last place team this year will have a few catastrophic injuries or events happen to them. Even New England could be bad enough if something happened to Brady to contend for the bottom spot - especially with their defense. Miami's new system, youngsters and key injuries could send them to the bottom. Buffalo has a good defense and that alone may keep them out of the cellar but their offense needs to improve or they are in danger. NY has a good defense but they imploded last year and I think their offense has seriously gone backwards with the new coaching and I think it will be easier to implode earlier and louder if the Sparano-orchestrated Sanchez/Tebow circus comes to town early.

All that said, I think either Miami or New York are the best bets for the bottom because we in Miami have to have so many things go right early this year and NY has so many things that will probably go wrong. I really do think any team could be first or last this year, though.

It's hard to predict without seeing the rest of the division. We've had some major changes, a new coach, new offense, new defense...it's hard to visualize.

Buffalo is moving away from the 3-4, like us, back to the 4-3 and Wannstedt's in charge now. Back when Wannstedt was here we had Jim Bates as DC and that defense was pretty stout, relying on the front 4 to create pressure (which Buffalo should be able to do with their present front 4 now) and we gave Tom Brady fits. We could just never score worth a crap but Wannstedt isn't in charge of the offense. Wannstedt also had a pretty good defense in Chicago before getting canned there.

Patriots drafted two guys in the first round that could effect their defense as much as the drafting of Gronkowski and Hernandez effected the offense.

Jets added Tebow and Sparano, while it may not result in more wins I think both those guys are a darn good fit for the Jets. Tebow running Sparano's wildcat could be a dangerous combination especially down in the redzone. I still have doubts about that locker room though and the character of that team but if they get it fixed and focus on winning they could be tough to beat.

Still I remember us playing the Broncos back in the day with Wannstedt and how that quick passing game and ZBS chewed us up...not to mention the Broncos were super bowl winners but teams with good passing attacks seemed to always beat us with Wannstedt and Bates in charge...even with Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain. I feel the window is closing on the Patriots though. Their late round draft picks haven't done much and Brady, despite making it to the super bowl and all of his passing numbers last year, looks to be starting to show his age. He was one of the worst, if not the worst, passer in the league with attempts over 25 yards. Jets seem like a team full of bad character players, good players, just selfish. Revis is complaining about his salary just two years after signing a 4 year deal...if he didn't like the deal he shouldn't have signed it. It just seems stupid after the way their season ended and an unnecessary distraction to start a new season. On paper the Jets have a lot of good players but they have no chemistry, a lot of individuals on that team.

Should be an interesting season.

But for two games on each teams schedule, all schedules in the division are basically the same.

bradys stat drop is more from having horrible WRs outside of welker, who is in no way a true number one. The WRs on the outside being horrible really effect deeper passing plays.

Miami, Buff, and Jests all have the same shot at ranking anywhere in the bottom 3 below the Rats.. I give Buffalo the advantage because they will likely have the best defense in the division.

do you really believe that?

Here we go again.. I know, the Jets will win the division, fly through the playoffs, and win the 2012, 2013, and 2014 superbowls all next year, while Miami will rank 5th place and Buffalo and New England will battle it out for, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place, and Meatballs prolific offense will lead the league in passing, rushing, and scoring offense, because somehow in your head all this is made possible.

where did I say the jets would win the division? You need to make an outrageous statement to deflect from the argument and your asinine statement.

My Predictions -

1. Patriots 12-4
2. Phins 10-6
3. Jets 9-7
4. Bills 7-9

Im all for coming in first................

Certainly is possible... Possibly flip flop buffalo and Jets since Buffalo will have a better defense and have better RB's.
