Enough is enough turn the team over to our DC and try to salvage some respect for this franchise. He's doing a great job and maybe with him in charge we might have the handcuffs off the offense and a more responsible HC.
Bates as interm HC until next season.

I say Trestman, he would open up the offense, let Bates stay with the Dee!
Wanny won't be fired soon. Wayne likes him to much and I bet will let him finish out the season and at the soonest I say it will be with 2-3 games left.

Why would you want Trestman as HC. He is a joke out here in Phoenix. They still make fun of him on the radio. No thanks, give me someone else. I don't blame DW for the game but I do blame him for his choice of coaches.

The reason I suggest Bates is because he has the respect of the players. He seems to know how to bring the new talent along in his defense, and I'm sure his ego is realistic enough to know that an offensive mind can take care of the offense.Drfletcherdc said:

Damn rights and I wish the Wanny lovers would understand that eventually. The HC is responsible for the terrible play of our O-line. Yes it's true he is. He hired the O-line coach. He decides what players to put on the field. He sat there looking like a fool when they were being owned almost the whole game. He didn't insert replacements. Trestman's elevation to head coach would create a mutiny on the staff. If Wannstedt is canned before the end of the year, Bates is the best choice for an interim head coach.

Bates would be worse than Wannstedt. Bates is the guy who continually puts the defense in a position to lose at the end of games. All these Pro Bowlers keep forgetting how to play during the last two minutes? No, Bates calls the same Prevent defense he always has and lets the other team move the ball when they hadn't been able to all day.
Bates is Wannstedt without the head coaching experience.
I'm all for cleaning house after this season, but if you're going to clean house, clean the damn house. Bates has earned his pink slip just as much as Wannstedt, Wise, and Armstrong.
