Live like tomorrow is your last day!
I must confess in that I do not start many threads rather read others posts to gain a better insight on my favorite team the dolphins. I am grateful that there are a lot of people (fans) on this board that do a really good job in sharing information about our favorite team. What I fail to understand is why we are so ungrateful for the success our team has had this year.
At the begging of the season, if we knew that we would win five games this year after only winning one game last year, replacing over half our players, bringing in a new coaching staff, starting a new offensive line with three new starters, a new QB, etc.., we would be grateful knowing we are on the right track in re-building our team into a winning franchise once again.
I am so grateful that Bill Parcels brought in new coaches and players which have a passion for the game and want to win. We still need at least two more drafts to rebuild this team however the players we have this year are playing their buts off and it shows in the numbers vs. last year
For those of you who have been dolphin fans for a long time, you’re probably like me in that it has been embarrassing to watch the dolphins play the last two years in that the team did not show heart. (I actual drove 10 hours to Miami with two of my packer friends to watch the packers beat the dolphins. It was a long drive home. lol ) This year, you see the passion, the drive, the winning spirit and I can once again stand tall around my packer backer friends.
I am grateful that I can brag that our team has a chance to make it to the playoffs and that the foundation is in place to only get better. Yes I understand that there are a lot of us including myself which wish we had a “Dan Marino” QB again, a special team which is special and a defense that would make the killer B’s proud but for now, I am glad we are a 7-5 team competing for a division title.
In summary, I want to thank all of you who post on this board, and would like to ask that we do not forget where we came from the last four years and ask yourself, is this team better, are we improving, are you proud to be a dolphin fan once again. If the answer is yes, be GREATFUL. :)
P.s.
My wife is grateful in that I do not curse at the TV as much when I watch the games and I have saved some money on buying new TV remotes which accidentally break on the hard wood floor. :)
