Made a comment on how special rookie QB Ben Roethlisberger is. He said that they would win this weeks game by 3 TD's.

Only way that happens is this final score:

Steelers 6
Dolphins -15

Last time I checked, you can only go negative in Golf and FantasyLand. Welcome to FantasyLand Beano!!

He also predicted Ron Powlus would win two Heisman Trophies while at Notre Dame. :roflmao: Why ESPN still thinks this guys opinion means anything to anyone is beyond me.

I don't even know who that guy is. I've heard the name, but I lack the curiousity to find out who he is. Sounds like a fat guy though.

Beano Cook is a specialist on college games. He doesnt know that much about the NFL.
Its highly unlikely Roth will have a Marino type debut as he indicated. Its more likely that our veteran defense will confuse him and will throw a couple of picks.Chalk up the Fins first win.

Beano looks alarmingly like Jabba the Hut in the face. As for his predictions, this is the idiot who said Powlus, that Notre Dame QB, would win the Heisman twice. Needless to say he sucked, as do Beano's predictions. That being said, we're not a good football team right now, and if the O-line is as bad as it was last week, we'll lose again.

Did Beano also mention that in 1945 after the war was over Notre Dame beat Iowa 6-0? Or that in 1926 he had his last regular bowel movement? That old man is a joke...especially when it comes to evaluating talent...he's the same idiot that predicted Rick Mirer would win like 3 Heisman trophies before he was done....Now all Mirer is IS done.

Phinman...you beat me to it...but I thought it was Mirer not Powlus or whatever that he spoke about.

I do believe it was Powlus, because I remember thinking the guy he gushed about didn't even make it in the NFL. The one thing we do agree on is that his predictions mean about as much as my dog Roscoe's.

I don't believe in the opinions of a fat, drunk, senial, old man who's only still at his job because he's been at ESPN for 200 years and if they fire him, they'll get a lawsuit. This man is seriously losing his mind slowly on TV. Pretty sad. What is he doing talking pro's anyway. Isn't college football the only sport in the world that matters in his opinion?
