The blistering heat of South Beach took its toll on the Chicago Bears on Sunday, as heat exhaustion played a role in the team’s 31-28 overtime loss to the Miami Dolphins. Among those who felt its effects the most was offensive tackle Bobby Massie, whose reaction to the heat was pretty extreme.

Wasnt it supposed to feel like 100 degrees on the field? You can’t underestimate playing road games in the Florida heat game vs the Florida teams or at high altitude in Denver. Miami should be lobbying for more 1pm September/October home starts. Not less

I think it was on Wilson's first TD, he juked the bears defender, guy gave up right there didnt even turn around to pursue Wilson... It jumped off the screen

3:03 in the video... #39 on the Bears

Yeah if I’m a bears fan I’d be pissed with that effort. I was wondering why he gave up.

Love it. Need to defend the ROCK! I agree more 1pm games. Love the new stadium additions and the benefit it provides the phins!

my man said phuck it...dont think I've ever seen a cat give up like that

I was at the game and at the beginning of the game, ⅔ of the field was in the sun and ⅓ was in the shade. During TV timeouts, the Dolphins players on the field waited in the shade while the Bears players waited in the sun. Later in the game, the Bears players did the same thing.

Hoping it'll be hot again this Sunday. Wear the white and let the lions wear the dark unis and run the ball till their defense drops.

I have a friend that went to the game. He sat on the Bears side, and he said the heat and humidity sucked over there, but he could see shade on the Phins side. I love it.

Hell yea! That’s how it should be.

That's pretty much this way since the roof is on. Well known fact by now: home side line and both endzones and upper level on the visitor side are in shade. Lower level sideline on the visitor side and player area have continous sun exposure. Don't get tickets in the lower on the visitor side.

There is a reason why the NFL does not schedule a Pats game in Miami early in the season. The last time they played here in September was the year before the changes were made (2014) and we killed them.

Yes, it's now 4 years in a row that the early season game is in Foxboro and the late season game is in Miami (rather than the other way around). How is this so? I have been saying it for years - the Patriots get the benefit of their preferred schedule and they don't like coming to Miami when it's hot. (OK - we haven't headed to Foxboro in the cold of winter for now 4 years in a row but it's almost like Belichick has the guy in charge of the NFL schedule, asking him what the Patriots would prefer.

Not to mention I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Pats play a Thursday night game on the road. EVERY Thursday night game they’ve ever been involved in has been in Foxboro.
