Beasley Keeping it Lit

Will Davis makes this more interesting.

Am I the only finding it odd that anything coming out of dolphins players or statements for the team are essentially thrown away and only the Media is allowed to drive this? Perhaps this is always what happens?

Well with Schefter (who I like), he's made it very clear that he's not a fan of Incognito in the past. It's not right, but he does have an agenda as he has said in the past that people like Incog shouldn't be in the NFL.

A lot of National media is basing their stories off of local guys, and Armando and Beasley are on poor terms right now with the team because they hate the media policy the team has.

What I find interesting is a well respected person like Jeff Darlington is constantly contradicting the negative stuff and it gets thrown to the side.

I just thought of this...if Beasley is correct about the dinner story, didn't he just out the player complaining?

Sounds like Beasley is trying to make a name for himself IMO. I think that me driving some of that as well.

In any case, it should be interesting to see if Incognito will pull anything on MNF as I assume all the ESPN guys will be in Tampa...

well they sited Will Davis, but the man himself said that the rookies split the check. He said a lot of guys are living week to week and he sited the documentary Broke... problem is that's NOT a MIami exclusive problem or a rookie problem.

SOURCE: Beasley has applied for a job at ESPN and is just trying to show that he will fit right in.

I read the thread title as "Michael Beasley still smoking pot" haha.

I agree with a lot of ppl on here that Bad Dolphins News is just becoming an easy topic. Why are we the media circus now? I thought that was the Jets' problem?
First Pouncey hat B/S, Pouncey subpoena, then Martin leaving, and now Beasley tryin to expose a bigger "hazing" deal. Like that doesn't go on anywhere else...
Good lord.

I swear, if there's any division that gets the most stupid-news headlines, its AFC East.

Because this is a relatively unique event in the league. Its rare that players just quit in the middle of the season. The fact that there is no clear motive just fuels the fire. Having a closed off franchise can backfire, as it leads to a lot of misinterpretations and individuals from inside the organization leaking information that is difficult to confirm and validate.

People need to cut back on the victim routine. There isnt some giant conspiracy to make the Dolphins look bad(we do that well enough during games thank you very much). They are selling this story because people are interested in this story. They would much rather break this story accurately then be kept in the dark and have to dissect it themselves. ESPN is not infowars, it doesnt rely solely on conspiracy theorists for its money.

The conspiracy theories you guys are cooking up are entertaining. Not sure how much reality is in them, but they're pretty funny once you get past the paranoia.

Schefter is most definitely targeting Incognito. Earlier this year he reported that Incognito knocked out a bouncer in a bar when the police report said nothing of the sort...and he never backed off the statement it just mysteriously went away. Now he's saying that Incognito is the focus of an NFLPA investigation...which I'm not sure about since Martin never filed a grievance against Incognito or the Dolphins.

Either way it's not a good situation but ESPN and Schefter, in particular, are piling on and trying to make the situation look worse than it is and unique to only the Dolphins.

I wish Incog would sue ESPN and/or Schefter. I am sure he might have some sort of case.

Doesn't this stuff happen on all teams all the time? I have heard of this kind of thing several times in the past and have heard no one make a deal of it until now.

In any case, Philbin needs to nut up and address this situation publicly. He can't just stand around and let the media drive the story and paint the picture. He is looking like a man without a handle on his team at the moment.

He's been pretty much lost right out of the gate, cant wait for this bum to get canned, just a moron. How long do we need to see this guy **** it up. the last three games b4 the late fg and subsequent safety the dolphins havnt scored a point in the 2nd half, now that is a direct result of coaching to come out flat like that. He literally has no clue and looks lost over there on the sideline...just go away !!!

When I talked about anger, dysfunction last week, this is what I was referring to. This issue extends far beyond the Martin situation.

Recently, a younger player was handed the tab for a $30,000 team dinner. The rookie minimum this year is around $400.000.

They've gotten sucked into the Miami lifestyle, and the veterans are using the younger players as an ATM, I'm told.

One young defensive player, whose privacy I'm protecting, has literally gone broke because he's been pressured to pay for older players.

I can now report this: This is a HUGE issue inside the Dolphins' locker room, and not just limited to this situation.

I reported last week that there were other issues, with resentments being harbored between other players. It's about this.

Just got off the road, and saw Schefter's report on the $15,000 allegedly gotten from Martin for a trip to Vegas.

Allowing hazing is a horrible misstep on Philbin's part - said it last week. I mentioned Bill Walsh in a thread last week (Walsh forbade hazing), because Philbin's attention to detail (that some media and fans laughed at) reminded me of Walsh's approach.
