This is the "beat writer breakdown," a weekly series where he pose five questions to a reporter who covers the Detroit Lions' opponent. This week, Dolphins beat writer Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald is our victim. Follow his work here and find him on Twitter here. Detroit (2-3) visits Miami (4-2) at 1 p.m. Sunday on Fox.

Beasley: Suh? Who's that? The defense is better without him.

Its hard to make sense of it but the defense got a lot worse when he arrived and got a lot better (so far) now that he's gone.

lets pump the breaks on the defensive performance last week. the bears scored 4 TDs in the 2nd half and also fumbled on the goal line and threw a pick in the endzone. could have very easily scored 42 pts. while the D has improved no doubt, there is still work to do.

And not including the 3 wide open TD's Trubisky missed and we got lucky because we were not playing against Brees and Brady.

Literally every single game of every single team has plays on defense where the offense COULD HAVE taken advantage or on offense where an opportunity is missed.

It's not a Dolphins-specific occurrence.

Adam Beasley said we are going to win? ****, we might lose.
