Nah, they're going to feed off each other. Maybe the Cowboys can handle this d-line, but that's it. But let's break it down by game:
Wake: A sack a game, with an additional sack in two of them. Not unreasonable.
Vernon: One two sack game and ten single sack games. Again, not unreasonable.
Suh: Ten one sack games. This is the stretch, but he did it in his rookie season.
Get ready to see a ton of quick dump passes and screens against our Dline. Our safeties and lb's will be getting some serious tackle numbers this season.
Wake's not as explosive as he was (still very explosive), and he's struggled to stay healthy in recent seasons, so I don't think he'll have his best season. If he stays healthy, he should still have a great season, and it should be his best statistical season relative to his play.
Yes! I posted a thread on Misi being in for a big year because of Suh. Such won't have monster numbers but he will be such a force of disruption that all around him will be 120% of last year.
I believe Suh will help the rest of the D-line somewhat (D-Line will have more Sacks and Tackles this year as a unit), and Wake will have one of his better years, but I doubt it will be a career year.
I believe the place where he will do the most good will be, helping the LB squad, whether that means the LB will actually be good or at least decent this year, I don't know, but they will not be nearly as bad as they were last years.
i think if all the players play lights out that OV is in line to prob have the biggest impact. you could often run to wakes side of the field because of him over pursuing on the outside to get to the qb and you could run underneath him. this year the LB will be free to fill that gap since it will take two man to stop suh. most of the runs are gonna be headed right to OV's side. also with the interior of the pocket hopefully collapsing and wake putting pressure on the outside on that side the pocket will be rolled in his direction. plus he's in a contract year. im not counting out wake as to having a big season, he takes better care of himself from what i read than almost any human ive ever read about. plus despite getting up their in years football wise he still dont have the football snaps on his legs. is it not opening day already! come on
