Here it is once again. Read it and WEEP! Literally, you will be crying by the time you are done. The thing no one is looking forward to. Dol-Fan Dupree's opinion of what is up with the Dolphins players. Something not only can I not believe people actually read, I cannot believe people actually read. I like to call it a Manifesto for weird reasons that seem stupid now that I am an adult. How adult am I? I actually own more than one fork. Of course that happened two days ago, but still, I am officially an adult. Still this year is a weird year for me. Say what you want about Saban that guy brought excitement to the team. Cam Cameron brings questions. Nothing but questions. At least he brings offense expertise, which hopefully will help. Hasn't helped the Ravens or a few of the other defensive teams that have hired an offensive coach. I hope hoping Dom Capers balances it out. As long as Cam does a good job delegating then I think Miami should be fine. It is sad when you break it down, Miami is as big as a joke lately as the Raiders if not a bigger one. Without the Orange Colored glasses all I can really think of is the fact that, "at least I am not a Lions fan". The playoff drought is one of the worst and Almost every team has been in the AFC championship in the last 12 years or so, except for the Dolphins and I think the Bengals. Offense has just been that bad.

Quarterbacks.

You talk about offense being bad(A little homage to Joe Theisman and Paul McGuire), there is no bigger reason than quarterback. Unless you count offensive line. Well quarterback is the first section so here we go. This has been a boon since Marino left. When fans can argue that Damon Huard should of started instead of anyone on the team, you know you are in trouble. This year is no different than the last 10 or so. Right now there isn't a clear cut starter and there is noone who is a clear starter. (Watching the top 10 busts I have to say thank god Randy Mueller is a Dolphin now. Man did he fleece Wanny on a first for Mirer).

Daunte Culpepper: Here is just something I do not agree with. The giving up on Culpepper without seeing if he can bounce back. Signs are pointing to this happening. I just see Daunte as someone who is still able to play in this league if his knee gets healthy. Right now the question is, will that knee get healthy. His accuracy and his ability to lead the recievers is absolutely amazing. People say his strength is in his legs, however that is far from the truth. His accuracy is by far his strength as it is just beautiful. Still the question is, can he recover both mentally and physcially from the knee. What I would like to see happen is for Miami to actually figure that out in training camp and not just release him when they get Green. It does not look like that is going to happen so with a heavy heart I say - Release

Trent Green: I know he isn't a Dolphin, but it seems like he is going to be and be soon. Basically I am wary of a 37 year old quarterback who just came off of a horrible season in which an at best mediocre quarterback did well who just had a HUGE concussion injury. I also think those injuries take a lot to come back from mentally as well. He just seemed shaken when he came back. Maybe he is over it since he is a savy veteran. Since hopefully Miami would be looking at him as a few year starter at best, it isn't that bad. He has had some good success. He also has a question about his mobility as well. He isn't as fast as he used to be. Not exactly the most mobile quarterback, but was still decently mobile. Losing some of that with old age isn't helping him either. Hopefully Miami won't be counting on him too much and the rest of the offense can take the pressure off of him when he starts - Keeps

John Beck: The guy who will be known in the first few years of his career will be known as not Brady Quinn. He is an interesting prospect. One really where you can read two different reports and have two totally different views on him. Does he have a strong arm or doesn't he? I have read that he has one hell of a strong arm and can make all of the throws. I have read ones that question his arm strength and feel that he doesn't have a strong enough arm to be anything more than a back up in the NFL. One thing that is going for him is that he is very accurate. Could be argued as the most accurate passer in the draft. Also a guy who is very confident. I love his interviews since he was drafted. Basically a person who is right now hard to not like unless I was a HUGE Brady Quinn fan, which I wasn't. I spent months trying to like the guy because I am a Dolphin fan and thought he would be a Dolphin. I haven't had to work hard to like Beck, because really, what is there not to like? Other than the fact he hasn't faced top competition in college, all reports have been positive. He is a little tiny, however not so small that he doesn't look like an NFL quarterback. I guess his age is a big one. However it is not like he is 28 or 30. Still we will see. Obviously this guy is a - Keeper

Cleo Lemon: Really the guy I wish was starting this year. I would rather have him than Trent Green. I guess I see it if Trent Green does great, well whatever. Well now that I think about it, unless Miami franchises Cleo Lemon they get nothing out of it. Here is what I would do. I would sign him to a two year contract and give him a legitimate chance of starting. The not trade for Trent Green guarentee and if Culpepper's knee doesn't come back, he is the starter. Then if he does well Miami can trade him. If he doesn't do well, well this year is a wash. Of course I also feel that having Trent Green as starter, unless they make the playoffs, just feels like a wash anyways. Cleo gives hope that maybe they can improve the team. Still I think he makes the team at least - Keeper

Gibran Hamdan: A guey who I liked last year in NFLE who I thought should of been the back up instead of Wallace. Of course I thought they should just move Wallace to reciever where he freaking belongs. Never understand why someone wants to be a back up at best quarterback when they can make a solid living as a wide reciever. Still a guy who is decent camp fodder and I am going to imagine going to get a couple of fans in preseason. Plus he is a likable guy from all interviews i have seen him in. Still it is a numbers game and unless he totally lights it up, I don't see him making the team. - CUT

Runningback

Another interesting position. Well interesting after the starter. This is finally a position where Miami does have a starter. First time in a long time when people know who the starter is going to be. There are some people who think the starter is not that special. Still he is the starter and nothing they say is going to change it.

Ronnie Brown: Someone who was unfortunatly for him the 2nd pick in the draft. Since he is not all world in his first season he will always have skeptics, even though nearly EVERY best running to have played the game hasn't been super great their first two seasons. Still he is a pretty good all around runningback. He really seemed to come on last year and had some dominate games. It really doesn't help him in the fact when Miami was down by just a point in the first quarter they decieded to abondon the run. Well that is an exageration, but still, it seemed Miami just didn't want to run last year. Just seemed like a typical drive in the 2nd half was, Ronnie for 3, ronnie for 8, pass, pass, pass, punt. I hope this year he is used more out of the passing game. In reality one of my biggest pet peeves after horrible accuracy and hard to catch passes, was the fact that Joey just didn't pass to this guy. Coming out of the back field the guy made the right moves and did a good job of getting first downs. He is someone who I am excited to have on the team and I feel with blocking he can be truely dominate. He has a good enough burst to just run past some of the best linebackers and to get at least 4 extra yards when the cornerbacks try to tackle him. The runs against the Bears where he just blows past Urlacher is a work of art. Not something you generally see. His explosion when he makes the deicision to run is awesome to see. I am predicting a good year out of this guy. A year where he is actually used. - Keeper of course

Ricky Williams: I don't really want to talk about him. Just hate to see wasted talent. Someone who if had the drive of a Walter Payton or even a Ronnie Brown could of been one of the best if not the best runningback of all time. Now really, Miami should just cut him and move on. The best thing that could happen is get a trade out of him. I know he could be helpful if he actually gets to play. I just don't want to count on a guy who is one nap at the wrong time away from being banned for life from the NFL. Plus I just don't see him as a Dolphin period - Trade or released or cut

Lorenzo Booker: Here is an interesting one. Could be a huge steal of the draft or could just not be that good. It is really hard to know RIGHT NOW, because he hasn't played yet. Someone who has the ability to make in the NFL just doesn't have the stats to back it up. Was somewhat of a disappointement in FSU, however there are a bunch of excuses for that. However are they excuses or are they reasons. However he is a guy who just seems like a guy you want to succeed. I haven't seen anything that makes me not love the guy. The NFL network piece, every freaking thing I have read about him, it is like, wow what a good guy. Someone who is looking to show people what he can do. Still a question mark if he can do it or not. The question to have is that does Randy and Cam trust themselves so much that this guy is a back up. It is looking like they are willing to go into the season with him as THE back up runningback. A decent gamble due to his lack of production in college. We will see how this works out. - Keeper

Patrick Cobb: Here is a guy that I remember not being super athletic but having good vision. SOmeone who I felt should of gotten a little more playing time last year, however that is just the theme of Saban. Someone who just wouldn't play people for some stupid reason, even AFTER he knew he was going to leave. I really see it between him and Eckel for the final spot on the runningback. I just don't think Chapman is going to make the team for the reasons of special teams. Also for some reason I just think military guys make good special team players. Especially Marines. So Cobb is going to be a special kind of cut. A cut who is brought back if there is an injury to booker or brown if he isn't picked up by someone else - Cut

Kyle Eckel: Here is a guy who I might as well talk about. I just think his special team ability is going to be why he makes the team. Plus the fact really he was more of a runningback than a fullback in Navy. I remember watching his highlight package and I don't remember him blocking once, which is just not something you think of when you think Fullback. I think he will be a RB/FB back up special teams player. Plus he is a good story. I just naturally like this guy. - Keep

Jesse Chatman: Here is a guy who looked like he was going to have a good career and then decieded that he liked food more. Maybe he discovered Old Country Buffett. He is a talented little guy who maybe. I really just see Eckel as more hungry in the non literal sense. That was a guy who gave up a military career for his nfl dreams, this guy had them and then ate them away and now gave up food for his nfl dreams. I just don't see it right now. - Cut

Cory Schlesinger: Some one Miami could cut if Eckel looks really good in preseason as a fullback and Jesse looks good as a back up runningback. Only because of his age. Someone who I have always liked. One of the best fullbacks in the league, just a little old. Really, my only negative abotu him is his age. I think Eckel isn't going to show enough that allows Miami to cut him and he will be a good teacher to both Eckel and the Juggernaut - Keep

Reagan Mauia: Known to many as Miami's luxary pick. When I first read about this guy I am sure my reaction was a lot like everyone else. HOLY ####, this guy weighs what? The first thing I read put him at 300 pounds. He is only 270 pounds. See him in the video and he is a SOLID 270 pounds. Unfortunately there isn't any good highlight reel of this guy, however there is some of Colt and Satele and you can see this guy in those things. One thing about him is that if he could run block half as good as he can pass block, watch out. His feet are quick and looks like a mini guard in the backfield. Colt mentions how teams just stopped blitzing because they got sick of being hit by this guy. You can see some of it. There were some highlights of him getting down in his stance and finding the blitz perfectly and solidly blocking the guy. However played in a one back offense, so really didn't do much run blocking. You would think common sense would say that he will be a fine run blocker, however that doesn't always work out in the NFL. One thing he does have in common with most of the draft picks is the fact that he is freaking likeable. Is there really one draft pick that Miami took that isn't just, WOW this guy is so freaking likable, I hope he can make it. I am looking forward to seeing this guy in pads. - Keep

Ray Perkins: More like Ray Cutkins. How many Ray Perkins does it take to screw in a light ball. Zero, because he is going to be cut. - Cut

Wide Reciever

Every year it seems like wide reciever is a strength to the team and every year it seems to disappoint in some way. This year it has more questions than answers. However looking at Cam's offenses in San Diego, other than the tight end I have NEVER been that impressed with their recievers. Even Keenan was more at the twilight of his career when he was there. Maybe he can make something out of this crew.

Chris Chambers: Another controversal person on the team. Someone with AMAZING athletic ability and great speed, just hasn't done anything consistantly. One game looks absolutely amazing another game disappears and drops passes. One thing about him though is that he still attracts the best cornerbacks on other teams and double teams. He is someone the opposing defenses respect. A lot of people around the league feels that he has been giving the short end of the stick in Miami with the crap of quarterbacks he has had to deal with. Well this year he gets what some people think is a genius when it comes to offense. Last time Miami had a genius offensive guy he made the probowl. His leaping ability is one of the best in the NFL and really isn't a distraction on the team. He will say if he is unhappy but doesn't seek out the press. Another thing is that even though he is not the best at blocking, always gives it his all. In some of the Ronnie highlights you will see Chris help Ronnie get an extra few yards by trying his best to keep the cornerback off of him. I really think the fact he isn't a loudmouth like McMichael and does try hard is the reason he is still on the team. Plus he may work out even more hard with Ginn on the team. Even Shouright would agree that when you have someone who looks up to you and you feel responsible for showing someone the ropes then that just naturally makes you want to do better. - Keep of course

Ginn Jr: The most controversal Dolphin. Not because of anything really the Dolphins had did. Look back and this is the guy they had the most interest in. Just everyone else was more interested in Quinn with his baby boy good looks and hot girlfriend. Seemed to trade down in the draft, I guess she could see the writing on the wall and is probably working on Brohm or Brennon next year. No Hawk is going to date a 22nd drafted quarterback in the draft. Still Ginn looks to be one of the fasted men to have ever played the game if his injury doesn't take away from that speed. There have been people who says he is as fast as D. Green was and Green was oen fast mother shut your mouth. His ability to return punts and kickoffs should net Miami some extra yards which should help them in the field position battle. I believe that Cam mentions that alot because he knows that sometimes it takes a while for a reciever to come on his own in the NFL. While he is learning the business unlike a Calvin Johnson or a Bowe or Meecham, he can be a really good returner. Really when you think about it, he could be what Welker was but more explosive. Another good story guy and brings more explosiveness to the offense. Brings Miami that guy who can take it to the house anytime he touches the ball. One thing they haven't had. They have had some fast guys and explosive for 20 yards or so, but this could take it 80 on a simple slant route. That is going to get into people's head. Hopefully he will be ready by training camp and works hard on being a great NFL reciever. People talk about him not being that great over the middle, yet neither were Harrison or Steve Smith in college. In fact you really don't have to be that great in college at being over the middle like the NFL. It is a different game. He is also a very likable guy and I predict a fun rookie season for him. - Keep of course

Marty Booker: This is where the wide recievers get interesting. Does this guy make the team or not. I don't really know. He is by far the best on the Dolphins right now at running routes and finding holes in zones. He is the most complete reciever on the team. One that people call a "posession" reciever, which is weird how that has turned into an insult. Like getting first downs is a bad thing in the NFL. Still he is a little old and there is a chance Miami gets rid of him. Looking at all of the RFA, they are all bigger wide recievers. Too bad Miami doesn't bring back Sippeo, that guy is tearing up AFL. Another thing that the RFAs have is speed. Booker has good enough speed and good enough quickness. He isn't going to win track meets or shuttle drills but he is good enough to be a very solid #2 reciever in the NFL. He left a bad taste in many Dolphin fans when he didn't jump up and down for joy to leave his family behind and have his world turned upside down by getting traded to the Dolphins after being told he was going to be a leader of the team. Still, there is a chance that he doesn't make the team. One big injury away from being traded for a 4th or 5th round pick I believe. I don't necessarily agree with, but I just see happening. However I don't guess trades, i just do, cut or keep and I pick - Keep

Derek Hagan: If Booker is let go it will be because of this guy. Someone who in his rookie season looked like a veteran when it came to running routes. Really something a lot of fans just don't put enough credit in. This guy is really good at getting open and looks like he could be a good #2 or "Posession" reciever. Yet last year he had a problem with the drops. I think that is something that is fixable if he is willing to work at it. I have seen nothing that shows he isn't willing to work at it. I am hoping to see some improvement in the second year of his career. - Keep

Now it is a crap shoot. They will probably keep a 5th reciever, but who? I have no idea. So this is just a plain guess.

Kelly Campbell: During short time he looks great. During real time he looks human. I think he has a better chance of making the team if Culpepper was the starting quarterback. Signs are not pointing to this so - Cut

Az-Zhair Hakim: A fast guy who was last good during the greatest show on turf. The thing about the greatest show on turf is that there were potentially 3 hall of famers ahead of him in the pass chart, which kind of freed him up a little. In Miami there isn't. Well maybe if Brown, Chambers and Ginn start tearing it up, but yea, they are not near Faulk, Bruce and Holt at this moment. He does have speed, but he does have age. Miami has some young speedters on the team and I just think they make the team instead of him. - Cut

PK Sam: The guy who is doing pretty well in NFL Europe. I will just say he makes the team, why not. He looks to improve his play, he is known for speed. why not? - Keep

Gabe Hatchett: I know what you are thinking, Game whochett? Looking at this little bio he is one of the young speeders. I wonder if he is going to be the dominate guy in shorts who disappears once the pads are worn. Played for Souther Oregon, I didn't know there was a Southern Oregon. I guess I should travel more - CUT

Kerry Reed: Ummm, fun. A name which you can't make fun of because it is so boring. Had decent stats. Lets say the next Brian Manning so this is at least a little tiny bit interesting - CUT

David Sutton: Wow, this guy is 6-6, that is a whole lot to cut. Caught 6 passes in his division I career. Maybe I am weird, but I just think players should have more catches than inches he is tall. - CUT

Michael Malone: Wow the son of Moses Malone. I LOVE Moses Malone. In the basketball playing sort of way. He should wear his dad's number, that would be so cool when he is CUT

Tight End

One of the most boring situations to talk about right now. But right now I am forced to. Hurray! Lets be bored

David Martin: Talented guy. Injury problems. Will make the team. I would make a Martin Lawerence joke, but not only do I think that no one would remember who he is, I saw his last movie and well, he has been through enough. - Keep

Justin Peelle: Not a bad player last year. Not a great player either. Still think he is going to make the team - Keep

Tim Massaquoi: One of those names that are hard to spell. Players LOVE guys like this. Used to be a Buc. I guess Keep, why not. Keep

Jason Rader: I thougth this guy was a Seahawk. Who am I thinking of? Going to try to make the team. Might take a spot away from Massaquoi. I don't really care. It is not like this guy excites me at all. I guess I am not that big of a tight end guy. - Cut

Aaron Halterman: Wow a tight end with a 40s number. That screams cut more than a defensive lineman with a 60s number. Well I hope he enjoys two a days - CUT

Offensive Line

This is something I love of course as I used to be an offensive lineman and it is something I enjoy watching. Last year Miami's line started to be pretty good on the right side and was still pretty bad on the left.

Vernon Carey: Looks to be the starting left tackle. According to some knowledgable Dolphin fans looks to be a better spot for left tackle due to the fact he is a better pass blocker than run blocker. One thing that really impressed me last year was his ability to block in the second level. Did a great job of blocking his guy and then moving off him and blocking a linebacker. In reality could of been a probowler last year at right tackle. Hopefully next year he can keep it up and become a good left tackle. He has the ability, lets see if he puts it to use. - keep of course

L.J. Shelton: What can you say about him other than man was he not that good at left tackle last year but was pretty good at right guard. Well the powers at be deciede to put him at right tackle. Well looks like it is his job to lose. I will just say he doesn't lose it. Won't be against the best pass rushers so he should be better and not want to jump offsides so much. A good enough runblocker so lets see if he can keep it up - Keep

Rex Hadnot: One of my favorite players on the team. Just a likable guy and a leader type person. Of course I am someone who doesn't really believe line needs a "leader". They do better if they are a borg type collective before they were ruined by the Borg Queen. The biggest problem with Rex is his ability to block in the open field. He improved his pass blocking to go from horrible to good enough last season, but still couldn't do well at the next level. Which against 3-4 teams wasn't a big problem however against 4-3 teams was a problem. I remember someone showing Miami's running stats and them running better up the middle against 3-4 teams. Plus looking at him on the goal line was beautiful as he generally killed his guy right off the ball. In a perfect solution would be to change him from guard to center depending on the team that they are playing. In reality the only position he can play if he doesn't improve his foot speed is center in this offense. Doesn't really have the athletic ability that they seem to be looking for guards in Miami's newer system. Has enough ability to make line call (another thing over rated by fans due to the fact that a good line makes calls down the line. Like the Center can really see well enough to know who a tackle should block). Still I have him making the team as he hasn't been cut yet. Maybe he did improve his ability in the open field. Hopefully for his sake he did non stop shuttles - Keep

Samson Satele: In reality he is my favorite draft pick. Reading about him was such a joy. Watching the highlight field was a joy as well. Great lower body strength and I loved his feet movement. I also liked the fact he didn't stop blocking. I hate watching offensive linemen standing straight up. A lineman should NEVER be caught standing until the whistle is blown. Does Walter Jones stand up before the whislte? NO! He is still hitting people! In none of the highlights I have seen did I see him stand up. I just love that. Which is especially good when you have a runningback who can actually break a tackle. I am going to assume he starts at guard and moves to center maybe. He doesn't really have much experience at center as he only played it one year. He played in mostly a passing offense and blocked well then. My guess is he will be the starting left guard. - Keep

Drew Mormino: Maybe it is just my faulty intuition, I just think this guy is going to be the Center. #1 he played center during his college career. He might not be a starter his first year. We will find out this year. I think he makes the team. I rarely have draft picks getting cut. - Keep

Joe Toledo: An interesting prospect. Interesting because he started looking great at guard and now is out at tackle. Still has an injury problem. An amazing athlete who just can't stay healthy. Since I refuse to guess injuries, I am guess that he is kept as a top back up for tackles. - Keep

Chris Liwienski - I guess he is kept. Not exactly from a great team. I don't really know. Hard to guess who starts on line this year. - Keep

Tala Esera - He is samoan. That is pretty much all I know about him. Since the Dolphins are slowly moving toward Somoa, I will say - Keep

Mike Rosenthal - This guy is tall. A decent back up tackle prospect. - Keep

Marion Dukes - Did you know that Jaime Dukes used to play for the Falcons? I learned that when they talked about Audrey Bruce in the top 10 draft busts. Also learned why the guy was a first round pick, man did he look talented just no heart. What does this have to do with Marion? Nothing, which is how much of a chance he has to make the team - Cut

Johnanthan Ingram - I likes James Ingram. I don't have the heart to cut you, it is the last thing I wanna do, I just don't have to room to keep you, just not the way you want me to. - CUT

Dan Stevenson - Stevenson, just the perfect name to CUT

Julius Wilson - Also known as Dr. CUT

Stephan Parker - With great power comes great CUT

Anthony Alabi - At one point looked to be the starting left tackle. In alternate universe that is probably true. In another alternate universe Anthony Alabi is the supreme overload of the mole people. In this universe it is looking more and more that he is going to be cut. CUT

DEFENSE

Aww this is when I start wearing down. Working on this for 3 hours just starts to get the best of me. I love Miami's defense. Well the defensive line at least. The linebackers look fun as well. The defensive backfield look well hopefully good enough.

Defensive line

I love this group. Last year they were so much fun to watch.

Jason Taylor - One of the best Dolphins to have ever played. Really nothing to say about this guy other than how amazing he is. Love him in the newer defense. Wonder how amazing he would be if he was in this type of defense most of his career. Hopefully he will break the touchdown record this year. - Keep duh

Vonnie Holiday - Someone who had one of his best season as a pro last year. So well that Miami let Carter go and kept him. Played really well. Decent age. - Keep

Matt Roth - Started to come on his own last year and played well enough for Miami to let Carter go. Just like Carter said would happen. Probably thought it would take another year. Well things don't alwyas happen as you plan. A fan favorite due to his love of playing the game and his never quit attitude. Looked really well last year, especially since he has more than one move than dominate the guy. - Keep

Roderique Wright - SOmeone who Miami is hoping is ready to be a back up in the system. If he can become the player people thought at one point Miami had one amazing steal. If he stays the reason he slid to the 7th then Miami got what they deserved. He looked good in the shortless time so I am going to say he is going to be decent. It is amazing, I have seen mock drafts that had him at the 2nd pick in the draft. - Keep

Paul Soliai: This one is hard for me for one reason. He is an interesting prospect and could be a very good player. A very talented guy who has a lot of reasons to fall to the 4th round of the draft. So that leads to the part that is hard for me. How good will this guy be in his first year. If Miami is super lucky this guy is a great NT his first year. However it just seems to me that NTs need one or two years to get used to the position. I don't really understand why. It just always seems the best NTs are savy veterans, yet the position doesn't seem to be rocket science. I know it is a lot of leverage. Still interested to see how this guy does in pads. - Keep

Fred Evans: I liked watching him play last year. He was the defensive preseason superstar that didn't really get to play. A player that really also made you say, "WHY AREN'T YOU PLAYING HIM SABAN, ZGONIA SUCKS AS A NT!!!" Man did Saban piss me off in the way he wouldn't play rookies enough. Still looked good in preseason, hopefully improved to the point where he can take over for Traylor some or even all. - Keep

Keith Traylor: Someone who I would like to cut due to his age and pretty much that is it. Hopefully he will get spelled more if he doesn't get cut by Evans and Soliai. Chances are Soliai won't be ready this year to make a huge contribution. So it looks like the super old guy is still on the team. Still he is pretty freaking cool to have on the team. Huge fan of his. Love watching him play and the position he plays in Miami seems to be built for him. Miami's defensive front is so different without him there. This year I am hoping Miami misses him less, however he is still a very positive contributor - Keep

Kevin Vickerson: Someone who I had hope for who really hasn't shown enough lately to someone since he did get released at one point and not picked up by anyone. Is having a fun time in NFLE it seems. I hope he enjoys it. I am sure he does, he is in Europe. - CUT

Mkristo Bruce: What kind of first name is Mkristo? Holy crap he is from Renton. He could literally drive a few miles and punch me in the face after he gets CUT

Chase Page: He will be chasing a roster spot for some other team because he is going to CUT

Steve Fifita: More like Steve Fifcutta. I wonder if he is having fun in Europe. I want to go to Europe. Maybe smoke some week in Amstradam. Not that I like weed, but if I do go to Amstradam I am going to have to smoke weed and get a hooker. Even though I don't really like hookers. It is just what you do there. When in rome, smoke weed and bang hookers. CUT

Marquay Love: I wonder what got him beaten up more as a child. The fact that his last name was Love or his first name was Marquay. Chances are he probably can destroy those bully's in a fight days. They are probably shaking in their boots if kids these days still wear boots. He is from texas. Wow 1985, rookies are making me feel more and more old. The dude is old enough to drink, I remember 1985. I hate this guy now. Way to make me feel old jerk. At least you get to live your dream before you are CUT

Linebacker

This is an interesting position. Really it hasn't been this solid since Derrick Rogers and Robert Jones. Wow that brings me back to when Miami used to make the playoffs every year and being a Dolphin fan meant I got to laugh at Seahawk fans. I am sick of going to the bar and having the guy say, "Dolphins suck, man law!" And everyone replying "Man law". What can I say, "NO they just haven't been to the playoffs in a few years and two top 10 picks in 3 years." I never thought I would miss the days of Derrick Rogers and Robert Jones. Still the linebackers is filled with playmakers and solid guys. I think Miami's front 4 linebackers (not counting Jason Taylor) is up against anyone in the league at this point.

Zach Thomas: Writing good things about Zach Thomas is like writing good things about Jesus. I could write, but really every one knows. And like Jesus if you don't know, you will burn in lake of fire until the end of time because Zach Thomas loves you. - Keep

Joey Porter: Someone who didn't get signed by the Steelers. I am a little pumped about him, however thinking back Steeler linebackers when going to different teams haven't always played that well. Some play well, some fall of the map, or gain 300 pounds. Still he is a play maker and isn't going to be asked to be the main playmaker on the Dolphins. With a very solid front line and a linebacking corp being lead by Zach Thomas he can just be him and hopefully disruptive. Signing Joey helps in the sense where you take a strength and make it a bigger strength. I always liked that way of building a team - Keep

Channing Crowder: Looks better and better every year. One of the reasons why some teams still take players with a little iffy history. He has turned out fine so far. Hopefully this year he will kick it up another notch. Still will be difficult with Porter and Thomas playing with him as well. I am thinking he is going to do better. How can he not? It is impossible that is why. In freaking possible. - Keep

Derrick Pope: I wonder if people thought I meant Spragan when I said 4 linebackers. It is not a secret but I am a HUGE Pope fan. He just seems to make plays everytime he goes in for Zach. Plus even though he is no Zach Thomas, ever since Pope the game or two where Zach is hurt hasn't hurt as much as it used to. I think the guy is a great back up, awesome special teams player and actually a great practice player as well. Used to be part of the Terror Squad before Eddie was cut. Doesn't have the mythical size that people say is needed in the 3-4 even though there are plenty of good solid ILB in the 3-4 that have been his size and that does include some of the best of all time like Sam Mills, however don't let facts get into your way. He sucks, he isn't 6-2. I love his fire and I love watching him play. I wonder if he is ever going to get a chance to start. He at least as a good career as a back up. Better than what I did in the NFL, which consists of writing this stupid thing every stupid year. - Keep

Jim Maxwell - After bumming myself out I need ot make myself feel better so CUT

Donnie Spragain: A great player to have as a back up. I bet if he made a list like this he wouldn't forget the fact he was using colons instead of hypens to separate players from their descriptions. Plus I bet he would actually spell his name right. Last year he was a decent starter for the Dolphins. Very smart player which isn't that surprising because he went to Stanford. Not a player who is going to make you jump up and down for joy, but a player who comes in when a player is dinged and the f word won't come up. You will wish Porter was in there, but it isn't like he is going to Lucas it up. - Keep

Abraham Wright: I am assuming he was drafted due to his motor. Seems like a player who seems a lot like David Bowens. I hope he makes it so Miami doesn't miss David Bowens. I liked him. I will miss him. Still he is a rookie, hopefully he will do well. Go rookies. Even though he did play for Colorado and they did lose one of the most embarressing games in Division I history last year. Probably wasn't his fault. - Keep

Kevin Smith: I don't really cut rookies that get drafted. Why? Because I like to feel Miami drafts people for reasons and that they are decent evaluators of talent. So he looks like a keeper than. - Keep

Robert McCune: Hmmm, I don't really want to try to come up with something creative. Fine. Robert McCune, mor elike Robert McCut. That wasn't even funny - CUT

Jim Maxwell: I am going to cut him twice he he. CUT

Edmond Miles: Wow I thought this guy was a safty due to his number. NOpe he is a linebacker. Wow, a linebacker with a number of 48. Might as well be 40 CUT.

Cornerbacks and Safties

I could do these seperate but that would take more time. Looks like changes are being made, hopefully they will be for the best. Wow I can't believe I am almost done. Did you really read this much? Don't you have a job or a girlfriend to have sex with? I know I don't, which is why I am writing this instead of doing it. Yea, great, thanks jerk. These people were decent last year until injuries just exposed the fact that Lehan and Jackson pretty much suck.

Will Allen: One of the best cornerbacks on the team. Also someone who can't catch to save his life or his babies life or his mothers life or his mother's life if she was holding his baby while dangling from a volcano with his life savings in his other hand. Still he can deflect the ball pretty well. I was for the most part pleased by his play last year. - Keep

Jason Allen: You got your cornerback in my saftey. You got my saftey in my cornerback. Wait! This guy is freaking talented yet still doesn't have a position. Well it does look like his going to be a cornerback. Maybe times have changed to the point where safties are no longer cornerbacks who just lost their quickness but still have enough speed and knowledge to play the game of the NFL. I enjoyed watching him play last year. Hopefully he will kick it up a notch and become a nickel back or even a starter. - Keep

Yeremiah Bell: One of my favorite Dolphins. Why? Because I LOVE SPEED! Even when it is running past the runningback and accidently hitting Zach Thomas out of the way. Well if this guy can get his angles down he could be a dominate saftey. He is good at tackling, he has a decent nose for the ball and is good at error correcting. Plus he is freaking fast. He has amazing football speed. Probably Wanny's best draft pick which is kind of sad when you really think about it. - Keep

Andre Goodman: Solid guy with a shoulder problem. Hopefully he will be ready for the season. Hopefully he will lose his spot to a better guy. Still I do like the guy. I always hope someone will be better than who is there. Why not? - Keep

Travis Daniels: An interesting person in the sense that did pretty freaking well as a rookie and then hurt his ankle and just didn't recover last year. Didn't play super well. This year he is healthy and will he build on his solid rookie campaign or will he just not look that great. Only time will tell. - Keep

Michael Lehan: I will never forgive him for dropping that interception. It was right in his freaking hands. I mean come on, I could of caught that. You could of caught that. StoneHands McGee could of caught that. NoHands Eyelessmomma's boy could of caught that that pass. There I go, getting pissed off about last year. WELL CATCH THE DAMN BALL! Well i won't be a jerk and hope he gets cancer. Well maybe a little like on his pinkey and he could get it removed without too much trouble. Like not that big of deal cancer but enough cancer to be able to have the, "Holy **** I have cancer" before the doctor tells him that it is no big deal, it would be worse if he had a hangnail type cancer. - CUT

Shirdonya Mtichell: Speed, speed, speed. I love speed. Doing well in NFLE. I think he makes the team. Why? SPEED!!! - Keep

Christopher Vedder: I wonder if he has a brother named Eddie. That is just silly. He should get together with Marquay after they both get CUT

Travares Tillman: I guess he makes the team. Whatever. KEEP

Cameron Worrell: If memory serves me correctly, the Worrell is good at special teams. Yes at Chicago in the field of the Soldiers, Cameron was a special teams ace for the team. After 5 years in the league he has developed musky flavor and a nose for the football. Yes, the Worrell is good at special teams. That was a horrible attempt at a reference from the Iron Chef Japanese style. I doubt one person got that. Man I suck at this. KEEP

Derrick Johnson: Signed off of waivers due to Goodman not being ready for camp. Since I live in a fantasy world where everyone is no longer injured, this guy gets CUT

Geoffrey Pope: Every year I pick one player I don't really know to make the team. Every year I am wrong. Also every year I pick Zgonia to get cut, yet this year it was robbed from me by the team. So this year I will be correct using the Zgonia is no longer on the team principle. He is a track star and he is from Howard. Everyone knows that since Colston was from Howard, all players from Howard are great so Pope will be great. Plus his last name is Pope and the pope is never wrong. Keep. (plus he did track so he is fast)

Courtney Bryan: Watch this guy make the team and makes me look like a jerk. I already hate him. CUT

Tuff Harris: This will be a TUFF cut. He will have a TUFF time making the team. If he gets hurt he will TUFF it out. SOmeday one of these people is really going to punch me in the face. That would be pretty cool CUT

David Lofton: Good chance this guy is talented. Last son of a great didn't do well and is on a different team. This guy will most likely be CUT.

Special Teams

Jay Feely: Someone who I just naturally dislike due to his name. Reminds me of two players who I wish to forget meshed into one. If AJ Feeley and Jay Fiedler had a baby name it would be this. Or AJ Fiedler which would just be wrong on so many levels. Still anyone who doesn't kill themselves after the loss in Seattle where I even find it hard to not blame one player and I am MR. "FOOTBALL IS A TEAM SPORT". Should get a gold star or something. Hopefully he will do better off the dirt. I am going to miss Mare's kickoffs. - Keep

Matt Prater: Ummm yea. I am not writing about a back up kicker. That is just wrong. Is there anything less football than a back up kicker? Not only are you a kicker, but you are a back up to the first string kicker. That is like playing simulated golf. - CUT

Brandon Fields: Drafted to be a starting punter. His job to lose. He is huge though. Maybe he should wear a watch. - Keep

Ryan Flinn: what is worse than writing about a back up kicker? - CUT

John Denney: I wish the NFL would at least expand the roster by one so long snappers don't count, because they shouldn't. I don't even remember what he was supposed to be. Wasn't it a tight end? I think we are through the looking glass people- KEEP

Well that is it. I know I am short. This is when I go back and just uncut some players. Well I won't do that. I will say Miami signs a runningback from a team that cuts one of their runningbacks and I guess I a lineman. Why not? It makes my job easier.

Thank you for reading my insane thoughts about the Phins!!! Go Dolphins!!!

I agree with most of what you said.. Except I like Beck more than Quinn as a QB for this offense. Also you forgot to note Az Hakim got cut during the season with Detroit last year, forget about the show on turf in Saint Louie. And Detroit had nothing at receiver after Furrey and Williams.. Look at the receptions of their 3rd WR's on down..

I could raise a few other points But I don't have time now. Most of the rest I agree with aside from maybe 4 or 5 of your points overall. Good post

That was fun, thanks for the entertainment.with all that you did'nt even give us a prediction as to how our season is gonna pan pan out,,,i say about 10 and 6 and we shock the world type year.

Between 5-11 and 7-9 for Miami .. There are so many teams in the AFC that are better and have more talent than the fins it's not funny..

Very fun overview, actually agree with alot of your points. One tidbit though, Colston is from Hofstra actually turned down a schlorship from Mizzou.

Working on this for 3 hours just starts to get the best of me.

It's gonna take me at least that long to read the whole post. :D Wheew!!

Doesn't matter whether I agree with you or not on what you wrote (which I actually do agree with at least most of it, I haven't finished the whole write-up yet), I'm just impressed with anyone putting the time into writing such a post. Wow! In fact, I had to go back and keep checking who wrote it 'cause I kept thinking that with such a long post, CK must have written it. But, also like CK's posts, I enjoyed reading it. Thanks.

a great defense is like an ace pitcher on a staff... they will always keep you in the game. That is what our defense will do and if cam can get some production we will be better.

great post...and i do hope we keep Geoffrey Pope on the roster and see what hes got

"Writing good things about Zach Thomas is like writing good things about Jesus. I could write, but really every one knows"
That was a classic. That has to go in my sig.

Everyone knows that since Colston was from Howard,

hate to burst your bubble, but he is from hofstra

Hate to burst your bubble, but I have been told. I can't believe I forgot. In my defense both of them begin with H.

Being at Stanford doesn't necessarily mean you're smart. I prefer Pope over Spragan mostly because Pope did a bang up up job subbing for Zach.

I don't know why Michael Lehan is still on the roster. Will Poole in a wheelchair and two amputated arms could play CB better.

I think we may give Sutton a try if he impresses in training camp. And we may keep either Cobbs or Chatman if Ricky doesn't return for depth purposes.

But overall, an interesting breakdown.
