Before the Draft everybody wanted Brady Quinn but i think now that we all have had time to think about it most of us can agree that having a weapon like Ted Ginn and a QB in the the second round who is as good if not better than Brady Quinn makes a lot of sense.

I agree I was mad at first but only because I was unsure of what John Beck was about but I did my research and I'm very happy we got a game breaker like Ginn and then Beck rather than Quinn at 9

Way to early to tell, but it does look like a decent decision at this point, and if it does work out, can be what will get us back to the elite level.

I liked the picks as they were. I was not a big Quinn guy, although like everyone was shocked when he was there and they didn't take him. My question is will fans say the same things about Ginn and Beck if Quinn becomes the next elite QB ?? Again, I doubt that will happen...too much is going against him in Cleveland, even if he does have the talent (which is questionable). But I'd hate to see everyone turning against Beck if he's not the next Marino as some have intimated...

What's the pint of this? I would hope your 9 & 40 picks together would be better than a 22nd pick. The comparison that should be made is if the Dolphins selcted Quinn @ 9 and a wide receiver @ 40 (Jarrett, Gonzalez, Rice & Smith)

I'm sorry, but you can never grade a draft until 4 or 5 years down the road. I hate when ESPN does crap like that and all these other places grading the draft. Just as an example, when the Pats drafted Brady, lets say after that draft the "experts" gave them a draft grade of a B-, lets look back at that draft now. They got a QB in the late, late rounds that has taken them to 3 Superbowls, how does that draft look now.

If Beck comes out players awesome and turns this franchise around and Ginn turns out to be a #1 WR in the NFL then we look great. If they both turn out average, or Ginn turns out average and Quinn turns into a Superstar with the Browns we look like idiots and its one of the biggest draft blunders ever.

I am very happy with what we got, not to mention a couple late round values that will help us too. We got possibly 3 starters from this draft, i call that successful.

Too early to judge. Time will provide the real answer. Wishful thinking is all you're doing.

I am very optimistic about this draft but it is way to early to start pounding our chests and declaring this a great draft. We have had optimisim turn into disappointment too many times in the past. Yatil Green is one example as we all thought he was the receiver that was going to stretch the field and elevate our passing game to the next level and we all know what happened there. I am almost afraid to get too optimistic for fear of jinxing us. I will wait to get estatic about this draft until Ginn and Beck take the field in a game situation and start doing some of the things we think and hope they will do.

You hit the nail right on the head my friend. You can't judge a draft minutes after it happens. Its gonna take some years to figure that out.

"[Brady] Quinn threw consecutive balls into a brisk wind that could be described charitably as wounded ducks. Each ball looked to hit a brick wall in midair and plummet, one far short of the intended and uncovered receiver. Quinn compensated on the next pass and overthrew a receiver.''

Actually I am hoping we got at least 4 starters from this draftin 2 years. A WR, a QB, A Center (or Guard...crossing fingers at Center), and a mean monsterous DT.

Add to that a very big and atheltic FB, a pass-rushing specialist DE (That will be converted to LB), and a Punter that has a very big leg.
