title says it all:
if he turns out to be the next Steve Young, this team will go far. If he's the next Detmer brother, we will regret this draft for decades to come.

I hope it's the former...

as an aside, how will this Mormon kid deal with life in the big city?

If he turns out to be the next Steve Young he will fail miserable for us and go to another team.

Plus will the church let him play on Sunday?? Probably, but he'll just have to pay them a little more.

He better be ready to play in 2008 the latest.

He'll be 27 then.

what are you talkingh about? steve young is one of the greatest QBs ever! if he could lead us to a SB victory like Young did for 49ers.

Young played in the USFL, then went to TB, THEN was a Hall-of-Famer for the Niners. That's what was meant...

I just hope he pans out.

I'm happy with Beck and Ginn. Hopin for a center with the next pick. (kalil or satele)

Why? Why does miami have to be so stupid! Eddie moore all over again, we reach for a project-chris wienke when we still have a ****y OL and an aging defense. I can understand getting excited and taking ginn early, but wake up! We have top ten picks and we're not utilizing them well. Beck was projected mid-round by many scouts,

This draft is going about as badly as it could possibly go. Completely ridiculous waste of two nice draft picks. A KR/PR who might develop into a #3 WR (and I've seen Ginn play a lot being a Buckeye fan) and a 25 year old QB...awful

Did you see Cameron adress the fans. not once did he say ted ginn the WR he said ted ginn the punt returner.. you dont draft a punt returner with the 9th pick. also he made the pick becasue he knew the family... bogus reasoning there.

I think Beekman could be a good pick there also. I agree I am happy with Beck and Ginn. But I was never a big fan of Quinn. And I found it funny that in Sporing news last ranking they had Quinn as the Fourth rated QB behind Russell, Kolb, and Beck. I love the Ginn pick he will open up the Off. so much.

Some people had Beck going at the end of the first-round. His stock rose greatly in the final weeks leading up to the draft.

Yep. Par for the course, unfortunately.
