Given the uncertainties that surround these three, the Dolphins should definitely bring in another experienced QB. Doing so would give Miami the best chance to make the playoffs. That being said, don't be shocked if Beck, Culpepper or Lemon stepped up and performed well this upcoming season. After all, Trent Green himself wasn't any more highly regarded than any of these three before he went to the Kansas City Chiefs and became a star six years ago.

Green was regarded higly, he was with the Rams and was the starter before he got hurt. We have all the QBs we need, we do not need 1/2 year fixs at the QB position, we have capable players on our roster and we would never know if they are good enough if we always say we need someone else. IE build around someone who has a chance of being here more than a year or two.

I hope all of our QBs are working as hard on all aspects of their game like the Redskins' Jason Campbell is.

We play the Skins in the season opener in Washington. I wouldn't underestimate the Skins this year. They had new offensive and defensive systems last year and new coaches, etc. They should know their stuff coming into this year. Jason Campbell has been coached by Al Saunders who helped develop Trent Green into a Pro Bowl quarterback. I'm sure Cam knows what Al Saunders can do with an offense. Once everyone learns his complex system you better look out.

"Jason Campbell has spent so much of the last three months sharpening his footwork, rhythm and timing, it seems he's been prepping for an Emmitt Smith-like run on Dancing with the Stars rather than his first full season as the Washington Redskins' starting quarterback.

By speeding up his mechanics, Campbell has slowed down what he's seeing around him."

Whoever our QB is, we need to get him up to the level that Campbell is:

"He's there," Moss says of his quarterback. "His confidence level has risen. And his game, his arm, his decisions, his accuracy  all have risen with his confidence.

"He has really paid the price this offseason," Gibbs says. "He is quicker, much more confident. He is just more comfortable."

"I couldn't have a better coach or a better teacher than coach Saunders," Campbell says. "He does it all and knows it all. He was in Kansas City and turned Trent Green into a Pro Bowl quarterback year in and year out."

"You have to sacrifice a lot of trips to stay here and put the time and effort in, watch film and go on the field, practicing drops and throwing. One day you'll be glad you did it."

These are the things that Cam really emphasizes in his QBs:

"One thing we've done with his mechanics is we've tried to quicken everything up for him," Saunders says. "That's from the waist down  the speed of footwork  and the neck up  the quickness of making his decisions."

"The thing Jason was able to demonstrate last year, that really gives him an opportunity to be successful as a quarterback in the NFL, is he has great poise under stressful situations," Saunders says."

your right if we do get green for insurance i hope the dolphins play hardball all the way and pay nothing

Who cares about jason Campbell. How did that get worked into this?

We play the Redskins in the season opener. We could start off the season with a bang if we could beat them on the road in our first game with Cam as the coach.

I used to watch Jason Campbell in the SEC. He's the QB on the 2004 Auburn team with Ronnie Brown and Cadillac Williams that went 13-0 and should have played for the National Championship if it wasn't for the BCS crap. Jason is one of those QBs who's hell bent on making it big in the NFL. If the Redskins coaches think he's doing well in the offseason, our coaches and players better start preparing now. Campbell is a smart, driven kind of QB with a big arm like JaMarcus Russell. We could leave Washington looking terrible if we aren't ready for them. Not a good way to start the season.

I'm just saying we need all our QBs to be working their butts off like Campbell does. He might be the hardest working QB in the NFL now. He's even using his vacation time to workout with his receivers in Miami this summer. When preparation meets talent you get success. We need QBs like this if we're ever going to get one that even comes close to Marino. Maybe the Miami press and radio guys read Finheaven sometimes and will let Cam and Terry Shea know that we expect some high quality quarterbacking in 2007. We're going to have to have it just to avoid getting embarrassed by teams like the Patriots this year.

Tom Brady probably went through all the things that Campbell is doing now in his first few years in the NFL. Peyton too. It's no accident that Brady and Peyton got to where they are today. They put in the long hours and gave up a lot of their free time in the offseason to refine their skills, watch game film, workout, etc. Brady makes it look easy when gametime comes, but people who know the Patriots all say that Brady is probably the hardest working guy on their team ... year after year.

Pick the best of the 4 we have and take our lumps or wins, either way, look out 2008!

It really bugs me when fans try and say the pickup for green would be stupid because he would only last 2-3 years. YOU IDIOTS THATS ALL WE WANT and some fans dont know anything about whats going on. We drafted beck thats camerons new toy we just want some1 in there for a year or two to get the job done to give Beck sometime. I had to get that off my chest sorry some dolfans really bug me with this culpepper argument. If i knew culpepper was going to be back to his elite ways I would love to have him, and i do agree with giving him a chance but i still feel Green is the better fit for us right now.

I was watching NFLTA last week, with Jim Fassel and Marshall Faulk and they both had Trent Green as a Top 10 QB going into the 2007-2008 season.

dont give KC anything for Green

If he comes here without giving KC anything let him compete for the starting job with culpepper

Let the best QB win
