Look at the parallels:

big guys, strong arms, both got shiny new LT in draft and both saw their SUCCESOR drafted. I really hope Beck responds the same way Anderson did. :woot:
 
He sure didnt play like him but i willing to not give up on this guy yet.

Maybe so.. However, he doesn't have Kellen Winslow, Joe Jurivicious, and Braylon Edwards to throw it to...

THEY make a very big difference for Derek Anderson.. Would be a nice dream come true.. But doubt it, till next draft when we get impact skill players..

Umm, since when is Beck a big guy? he looks puny out there. Like a little schoolboy.

That coupled with an incredibly low release point that gets knocked down rather easily by D-lineman. Beck can barely even see over the line. And alot of the time he can't.

Derek Anderson is 6'6 and plays Tall ! I don't care what Beck's height is, he plays like he's 5'9. He plays small.. How can you possibly say beck is big?

Beck is only 6 feet maybe 6'1'. He was considerably shorter than Trent Green last year when standing next to him. That is my biggest concern with Beck. He definitely is not a big guy.
 
I've heard that the QB coach has worked on his release point. Hopefully it's fixed. At this point, I don't care who the starter is. I just want them to win.

John Beck is 6"2". You guys can be little all you want but you can't make him shorter than her really is!

Anderson is 6-6 230, Beck is 6-2 220.. Thats a huge difference.. Hope your right though

there's less than an inch difference between Henne and Beck and what Beck loses vs Henne by his release point, he more than makes up with his check downs, ball pass protection, mobility and ahem, accuracy. Again, given all of that, let's have a fair and spirited competition and i'll be supporting whomever wins fairly since I think both QBs shortcomings can be corrected through good coaching, plenty of reps and game experience.

No he isn't. He is shorter than 6'2. I have seen Beck stand right next to players who are 6'2 and Beck is always considerably shorter.

That 6'2 listing is false. He is shorter than that. It's why he looks so tiny out on the field.

This is not new, I have seen such false listings before.. I am 6'2 on the button. And I met a few dolphin players in the past who were listed as 6'2. One time a guy was a full inch and a half taller than me. Another time a player couldn't have been taller than 6'0 1/2.. Beck is more the latter. He is definitely shorter than his listed height.

that's your opinion and you didn't say whether your eyesights 20/20 :wink:, but either way he's no shorter than Drew Brees and probably now bulked up more. Who'd complain about having a Brees clone?

because apparently he thinks Beck's area there is puny as well, along with his short height.

The guy can't even see over the line. He looks like a dwarf out there. He is shorter than 6'2. And he plays even smaller than his height.
