This is what I want out of my quarterback...

About an hour south down Interstate-5, quarterback John Beck was on the verge of lining up his chicken nuggets in a shotgun formation.

Beck couldn't possibly have been surrounded by more distractions while spending the day at Disneyland with his wife and 11-month-old son. Yet he couldn't quit thinking about football no matter how hard he tried.

The guy is weird, on top of being a sucking bum? lol! dude, every player on the dolphins roster and/or radar are obsessed with football...john beck is just "trying to say the right things in hope that BP looks at him with grace..."

john beck has admitted that BP has "not" shown him any confidence nor has he expressed if he has a positive opinion of him. on the contrary, BP has shown him the type of clues of ... "hey, we are signing mcCown, 'today', and there will be an open competition at QB. and we 'will' draft a QB so just FYI..."

Your making up baseless criticisms of Beck (as usual). Your posts are classless and offensive. Fact is, in his short life he's accomplished considerably more than people like you ever will. Regardless of whether he ever becomes a starting NFL QB.
Legitimate criticism is fine, but calling the guy a sucking bum is more reflection of who you are and your lack of character.
It's clear that you harbor some hostility against him. Perhaps you have some issues with his mormon faith.
 
Now if he can just spread the disease to the rest of the roster, we might be alright. Last year they seemed more obsessed with cards and dominoes than football.

See you keep saying this, can you show me a link where Parcells or anyone from the dolphins said anything in public about an open competition (We they should have by the way and nobody has said other wise) and a link were anyone from Parcells down to the janitor in the organization said they were drafting a QB?

Or are you just guessing again?

Saying McCown is Beck's competition for the starting job is like giving the starting job to Beck.

You can't seriously believe that Parcell's or Ireland have gone out and tagged McCown as the QB they want to hang their hat on.

That would be regime suicide.

That's a great point.

But, since Beck has shown the talent and ability to not only be chosen in the second round of the NFL draft but also shown that he can play well at an NFL level, his obsession is going to lead him on a career as an NFL QB whereas yours will most likely lead no where.

Yeah and your not an NFL QB. This is what separates PEyton MAnning and Tom Brady from the rest of the Qb's. They are passionate about football. They want to make themselves perfect. Beck from what have read is showing that obsession and dedication to be great that those QB's have. During playoff you would not see Brady hanging around in Mexico with a Jessica Simpson.
