Beck all the way!! Give the guy an o-line and better weapons then just Ginn who was a rookie wr.

Matt Ryan thanks for letting us trade with alanta to move to the #3 spot and getting us some extra picks. then get C long with our #1.

Trade Taylor for Mckinney and our d and o lines will be fine and lets get a TE MLB SS WR CB and OT with our 4 2nds round picks and our 3rd. 2 2nd round picks comming from alanta for swapping picks.

.

Did I miss something? Did this actually happen? Or is this just another completely unnecessary thread that has been rehashed 345 times already.

Another one of these? Okay, I'll play along. I believe in John Beck, and I think he'll be a good quarterback for the Dolphins.

I like Beck, and I'd bet money that they don't spend their first pick on a QB, BUT...

I also think come draft day 2, either Flaco, Brohm or Henne will be in a Dolphins uni... :D

I love arguing these points to me they are so much fun. Of course I pick John Beck, not that I think he will be the long term answer just because he makes the most sense. Any QB the Fins draft this year or put in the starting role is going to struggle. There is no cast around them to help the QB be good this year.
The idea of drafting a QB in the second round and wait in the wing is a good idea, to let them learn the system and then take control when there is a supporting cast to help. But realistically in this draft every pick the Fins have need be used on something else to better the team. 2 OG, 1 OT, 1 ILB, 1 CB, TE, WR, maybe a Safety, and what happens if JT gets traded... Anyway I think Beck can be good it all depends on what BP and Ireland build around him and how long it takes.

Although I would like to see Brohm or Henne in a Dolphins Unifor I do not feel the Fins will take a QB in that high of a round.

Not even remotely close-Ryan easily. I truly believe the Dolphins will pick him over one of the Longs or Dorsey(whether its the right decision or not) and he will be a great Qb for us for the next 12-14 years.

As someone who's bullish on Beck and his upside, I'd still say that if you're in the right place at the right time to draft a "Franchise QB" you gotta pull the trigger. .......Unfortunately, even with binoculars, there just ain't one in sight this year!!!

Those of you saying John Beck must not have watched him play last year-the guy just cant hold on the ball and makes terrible decisions with the ball. He is NOT an NFL quality starting QB and no amount of experience will change that. He doesnt have Mountain West defenses to run up big stats on like in college-he wont even be the QB this year even if Miami doesnt take Ryan-McCown will beat him out.

There was a Beck v Ryan Poll on here a couple weeks ago and if I remember correctly about 80% of dolfans do not want to draft Ryan. I am not part of the other 20%. We WILL NOT draft Ryan.

You just proved you did not watch him play last year by this post and also do not understand the QB position and rookie development.
