Beck pick looking better and better

Few of Quinn's throws were good ones, as he scattered the ball all over the field in his first experience with the veterans and a new offense.

Yeah I know, its very very early in the process, and in the end this doesn't mean much. But..........I was at Dolphin rookie camp and Beck didn't look near as bad as Brady sounds from the reports out of Brady's second minicamp.

So while it may ultimately be meaningless, it makes me feel good right now.
 
OK like the Browns and us are the only teams that need a QB. If Quinn is so damn good why did he get passed be pretty much the whole NFL? Let the Browns have him and they will suck for another 5 years. We have a good rookie QB and might if the Chiefs can get there heads out we will have two proven Vet QB to talk about.
 
They're both rookies. They'll both make mistakes. While I'm pretty pleased about the Beck pick, it will be some time before anyone knows for sure whether the Phins made a mistake by passing up Quinn. But, as has been said here many a time... our new QB coach worked extensively with Quinn before the draft. I'd say the Phins may know him better than anyone this side of Charlie Weiss. Now, it's just a waiting game while the media goes over every throw they make with a microscope. It doesn't mean jack until they start playing in games.

No it doesn't mean jack, but as I said, every bad report out of Browns camp about Quinn makes me feel all warm inside.

Again, while Beck wasn't perfect in the practice I attended, he wasn't awful either, and was a whole lot better than Brady sounds.
 
And look at the defenses both teams are putting in there....I would think ours is a bit better even if it's not 1st string
 
I think Beck is going to be a better long term quarterback. He is more accurate with his throws than Quinn, and that is not something you can teach (Quinn)
 
even though im anti-brady, this bashing is getting a little old. lets just worry about our situation

MArino sucked so bad that 26 teams passed on him.
 
Enough already. Quinn is not a Dolphins so who cares how he plays? After 2 practices you cant tell anything about how a QB will preform. Only time will tell who turns out to be better but for now give both these kids some time before throwing around bust labels. And if Quinn were here and Beck in Cleveland most people would be saying how great Quinn will be and just give him time before judging him.
 
Quinn won't be a fraction of what Marino was. Has neither the arm, the quick release or the accuracy.

My thoughts exactly. Although, was anything positive at all written about Quinn after his first practice? Or are these writers just out for blood now?
 
I, along with most Dolphins faithful, was very disappointed in not picking Quinn. I couldn't believe they reached for a WR. But they did.
When they picked Beck I felt a little better. Mostly because they did pick a QB finally.
But like we all know. OTA's are just play time for the players, a chance for the coaches to see what they have and to plan for camp and to see what needs to be done.
Lets see how they fair on the field in a game, not in a camp.

I know these bad reports of Quinn makes you feel good but you shouldn't put too much stock into it. These writers may be over analyzing Quinn similar to the way some writers in South Florida were over analyzing Beck.
