Too bad you didn't see the board as well as there is already a long thread on this subject

Wow! John Beck wasn't even able to net us a later 2009 draft pick! :sidelol:

OR....

Maybe you, WVDolphan, Armando, and PFT were just...

WRONG.

Shocker, I know...but it IS possible.

No, he has to much potential to trade away.

Don't be too sure of that. A couple websites have reported interest in Beck increasing, and now that Miami isn't likely to cut him (something other teams may have hoped for rather than step in and actually try to trade for Beck) John could still find himself with a new address this season, especially if during the inevitable cuts Miami sees a QB it would like to add to the roster that they'd consider and upgrade over Beck (think a vet with experience in Hennings offense). I can't help but think the Trifecta would rather have a vet to be the 3rd QB should Pennington and/or Henne get injured as opposed to the still inexperienced Beck. I don't want to send out the impression that I dislike Beck, because truthfully I do like the guy, but I think its time he get a change of scenery and find a place to better utilize and develope his skills (being the #3 QB here isn't gonna accomplish that). Just my opinion though. Go fins:woot:

So.

Your opinion is that...a WEEK before the regular season stars....the Fins are going to trade away one more of their three remaining quarterbacks...leaving an injury-prone starter and a rookie at QB...then hoping they'll be able to sign a vet?

Really?

With six days left before the season kicks off?

i think they will try and trade beck.. they will easily be able to find a 3rd string vet... this is waiver period man.. there will be so many players available in the next 6 days and miami has first rights to the wire.. so yeah dont sweat it

Most people wouldn't have believed Parcells would have one of 'his guys' released (ala Keith Davis) especially when Davis wasn't being mentioned much as someone causing problems or making poor performances... this Trifecta released Z. Thomas, one of the greatest and most iconic Dolphins ever, when we're already hurting for talent on defense, at least at that time... stranger things have happened... besides, if Penny got hurt, Henne would play, not Beck... and if you read my post, I never said they would just trade away Beck and then look to fill his spot... I was talking about them looking to pick up a waiver-wire vet QB and THEN trade away Beck to the highest bidder (though wouldn't likely be anything HIGH about those bids)...

We should just trade Beck for w/e we can get then we should resign Daunte didnt he say he wanted to come back here anyways? And i know im gonna get bashed for this but its my opinion so live with it.

Not sweating it up. I'm trying to logically determine WHY Miami would do this. Get rid of a 2nd round pick from last year who...OBVIOUSLY...has been given a pardon of "hey...maybe last year's coaching staff was REALLY that bad...maybe it wasn't REALLY all Beck's fault...let's take a chance on the kid, since we're not going to get a 2nd round pick back for him right now..."

Why?

WHY would they get rid of him in hoping there's a THIRD STRING QB available who could learn the offense in a week or two?

Who?

Is Jeff Goerge out there, after getting a Dan Marino brain transplant? You know...rocket arm, good decisions?

Or...maybe...Culpep...no, wait, we tried that...HEY...what about Simms?

Seriously. There's NO reason to get Beck off the team now. Hope you're wrong about him. He's a backup...and learning. Good things may yet happen.

Not bashing...

...but my Culpepper comment in my previosu post was complete sarcasm.

WHY? Why would you do this? It...it just doesn't make any SENSE.
