check out what the Dallas Morning News is reporting :

'The Cowboys have done a background check on Miami quarterback John Beck, but they have not had talks with the Dolphins regarding a potential trade for the 2007 second rounder, according to two sources. According to the sources, the Dolphins contacted the Cowboys - and other teams - about Beck shortly after coming to terms with Pennington. Owner and general manager Jerry Jones has expressed a desire to find a long-term backup to Tony Romo with Brad Johnson turning 40 next month'

So it looks like it could be farewell to Beck after all. Its a shame if he did leave but when Miami drafted Chad Henne, the writing was on the wall. We wont recoup that second round pick for him but I guess a 4th rounder with conditions could see being traded out.
 
2 1st rounders and a promise to give Jerry Jones our playbook when we play them
 
I'll be content with a 5 rounder. If Parcells drafted a starting RG in the 6 round, im sure he could do it again in the 5 round.
 
Sounds like a good potential destination for Beck. And a chance to work under Romo for awhile can't be bad either.

Sure he will, I just hope he would get a fare shot over there to show his worth! I mean come on a worthless coach his first year and a little of one preseason game this year.:err: But then again they do have Wade at least until Jason takes over.:up:
 
Bobby Carpenter for Beck straight up. I think thats a good trade. 2 high round picks that are performing a little below expected that both need time to grow. I'd do that in a heart beat. But dalls will look to give us a 5th or 6th round pick for him I bet.
 
What piss's me off is that we never really gave Beck a chance. I still dont get why they cant keep both Beck and Henne?
 
How ironic would it be if Beck ended up in Dallas and got a Super Bowl ring along with Zach Thomas.
