I'm huge BYU fan out here in Utah and i've followed Beck from day 1. I always felt that Beck was underrated coming into the draft. He has great arm and puts the ball on the money. I listed to the interview he did on you local radio and heard him talking about how early on he would try to impress everyone with how hard he can throw the ball. That is so true! He has one heck of an arm. I have heard from a couple different people that are close the football program that they have seen Beck throw the ball through up Fild goal poles from the 50 on his knees. Now that some serious arm strength.

Anyways I just wanted to say congrats on getting Beck and that you will be happy with him. This kid works harder then anyone I can remember in some time and he heart of a champion. He will give you everything he's got.

I think i have a man crush on him...Saw some interveiws with him...highlights of him...he is a great person and a great football player...he threw 8 ints. this year and he had 8 games where he threw 0 ints...this guy is going to be great...Dolphin Nation should be getting very excited...

yeah i watched some highlights via you tube and man he puts his body to the limit he got rocked over and over while delivering the perfect pass. it seems he dosent care he will do what ever nessecary to get the pass there no matter whats in front of him. from the highlights u see his arm strenght 70 yard pass and his accuracy even while getting drilled into the ground. i think Beck will do great as long as he can play with his size. if he was 6-5 he would of been a top 5 guy! wait ppl you will she his poetential.

thats what i like about beck, he is not afraid to take a hit, he will stand in to the last second take a hell of a hit to deliver the ball, he has a very good arm, is very accurate but when highlighting him they showed that he makes the NFL type passes that he will throw a ball before the WR makes the final cut so the ball arrives at the perfect time

that is what we need i agree if this guy went to a huge college like USC, Notre dame, ohio state etc he would have been a top 10 pick and we got him in the second round

cant wait to see him start

He will play through anything. He had 2 sprained ankles for most of the season and played with them heavely taped up till the last 3 games. They were so bad he was in a walking boot during the week. The coached made him sit out one week during the season to let them recover. It wasn't easy for them getting him on the sideline.

I am encouraged by the fact he will take punishment, deliver the ball, then get back to do it again. Accuracy is probably the one thing that won over Cam/Mule. It seems to be a key issue with Cam when it comes to judging QBs as it should be.

This thing about him being 26 and how its a negative is blown out of proportion. I think its actually a plus. He should be coming into this league more seasoned and mature then some 21 or 22 year old guy. And 26 is still young and he is far from entering his prime. Some qbs really don't hit their full stride till closer to 30. See Rich Gannon as an example.

Nice, and #9 pick Teddy Ginn wouldn't even suck it up for the National Championship game. Maybe we can convince Beck that teaching toughness to Tedd Ginn is a high-priority Mormon missionary goal.

Hey JTown777. That sig of yours looks like Quinn on Sunday when his name does not get called when team after team make their picks! Ya know a sadistic part of me kinda of thought it was interesting..like when motorists stop to look to see about a awful auto accident on the freeway instead of moving on. But, I also feel for him too. Sitting there all that time knowing that he lost millions by not being picked earlier and not knowing where he is going while others are landing somewhere.

beck has chosen fiedler's old #9..

i thought he should take one no ones wore recently..

no feely or fiedler or frerotte..

start anew..

Yea he is a good QB some people dont think he has a strong arm but he does he throw it 70 or 75 yards down the field to one of his WR so you people who thinks he doesnt have a strong arm think agian

The full story as heard on his 790 interview was that his first year he figured he had to come in and impress everybody with his arm, so he would rocket passes, and do things like that 75 yard pass. But as the years went on, and with one of their coaches formerly of the Walsh regime, Beck quickly learned that you don't have to rocket the ball, just make it accurate and catchable. If you watch his highlights he has nice touch. I think a lot of reports of any arm inadequacy may be misguided b/c Beck actually chose to take some heat off his later years, i.e. Bill Walsh school of thought.
