Becks got two more weeks to prove himself...per miami source

hell I would hope our wrs would go out there and show us what they are all about but i am probally going to be disapointed . its hard for me to evaluate the qbs with all those dropped passes.
I think beck stays and Mcnown leaves.
 
Garbage. The front office has been iron clad since day one and suddenly now somebody gets loose lips, sorry not buying it. My guess is that the team source is one of the writers for which all of them this morning all had to remind us how "awful" Beck has been.

You don't start somebody in the preseason and then cut them two weeks later. You don't showcase somebody in the preseason for trade bait for half the game because he could get hurt. Beck is not going anywhere, sorry everybody.

As an aside, I can 't believe PFW would post something like that.
 
I was kind of worried upon finding out we would pay 11.5 million guaranteed to Pennington over the next two years. I am very glad to have read that he will only hit that if he hits multiple escalators in his contract for his play on the field.
 
agree Maverick, the WR's are definitely not helping the situation. For that matter the OL needs to pick it up. It seems like every practice blog reads.. so and so flew in untouched to harass the QB.

Why not? PFW makes stuff up all of the time. Sometimes, they're right and often times they're wrong. That's sort of the game the play. Their only real strength is understanding contractual issues.

That has Omar written all over it. I do agree that Beck is on the hot seat and better show something the next 2 weeks.

Wrong. It could mean the exact opposite of what you think it does. It could mean that Phins are putting out this information to see if they can generate any interest in Beck.. And BTW they need to play him in preseason, since given the reports out of camp its either he plays good and we get a late round pick or we cut him.

By playing both like that maybe they play against talent that is similar. Beck in the 1st quarter will certainly see good talent. Henne will probably see good players in the second. It should be mostly scrubs in both the 3rd and 4th.....

How would they generate interest in Beck by stating that in two weeks they'll cut him if they aren't impressed? Certainly doesn't help his trade value.
