:whew:Ricky Williams, Ronnie Brown and Travis Minor all had strong days running the ball. With the team in full pads in the morning session, Brown showed the first real glimpses of his first-round talent with quick bursts and great balance. He barely escaped injury, however, when LB Winston Taylor was blocked from behind and shot helmet-first towards Brown's ankle. But Brown adeptly jumped over Taylor.
If you asked Saban, Roth is doing just fine. But watching practice and the two games, Roth is struggling to make the adjustment to the pro level. There's no question he is quick enough, his problem is at the point of attack. He's not big enough, namely he has short arms, to win the matchups with lanky offensive tackles. Roth is going to have to become a master of technique and hand movement if he is going to excel at this level.
