Henne, the team’s second-round pick in last year’s draft, is being groomed to eventually take over for Pennington, but has never made an NFL start. Thigpen, however, started 11 games last season when the two players ahead of him, Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle, went down with injuries. He was 1-10 as a starter on that 2-14 team, throwing for 2,608 yards with 18 touchdowns to 12 interceptions.

I want you to let that sink in for a minute. He started 11 Games and lost 10!!! So he won one more game then Chad Henne at this point! No he talks about wanting to compete for the starting job? STFU! If he is so good why is he the 3rd string behind Brody who? Nuff Said.
 
Dude, his numbers are not horrific....Remember, Larry Johnson is a memory, and he had Tony Gonzales and a mediocre Bowe as his only weapons.....KCs defense last year was every bit as bad as advertised....
 
I am still baffled that people are calling for this guy to start. I mean this site is so unbelievable at times. I give it a week before he sucks too and "insert whatever qb is the next marino".....
 
Like I said its amazing we needed a qb and basically got him for free and cheap and people want to act like he is going to beat out the guy they chose for this team.

I mean whats next

We trade for Greg Lewis omg Ginn is a goner
We trade for Jalen Parmalee damn bye bye Brown
We trade for Winston Justice OMG Jake Long is out the door
We trade for Bobby Carpenter out the door Crowder
We trade for John Beck well nice to know u Henne and White
 
I don't think this guy is going to be a starter for us, but it doesn't mean I am not excited to see this guy come aboard. We got a guy for a late round pick who is young, has starting experience and has decent stats. Looks like he could be a solid backup for us behind Henne. Heck, he will probably add another dimension to the wildcat formation.
 
Thigpen is the new backup, Henne is the new starter. Backups are usually the favorite player on the team. Hopefully Thigpen dosnt ever start, but if he ever did his backup would be eveyones favorite. I want Henne to light it up so we can stop the revolving door of QB's that we have had the last decade. Switching QB's all the time isn't good for anyone.

People here would dream of having Bowe and TG in this line up, but yet their not that great when it comes to defending TT, funny. If that`s what you call mediocre weapons then what do we have to offer.


TT is a back up, probably a career back up that may get a hand full of designed plays to utilize his skill set in our WC formation. PW lovers should be the ones worried that it could have more to say about him and his ability to grasp our offense then anything else.
 
should be a decent backup, not someone I would want to be a starter.....on a side note, it's amazing that finheaven has taken on minority owners with these adds, just like the team!

You fail to mention that the Chiefs had the 2nd worst total defense and the 4th worst scoring defense (27.5 points per game) in the NFL last year.
 
Oh, those Quirky QBs, ya never know when they'll get stuck, stumble, or zoom on the Learning Curve.

Thigpen is just a prospect, just like Henne & White.
Go QBs, Go Henne!!! ... we need that Franchise QB, who will scramble up the Learning Curve & win for years to come.

(Thigpen played in the Little Big Horn & still isn't going to play in Shock & Awe ... hope he learns & does well, WHO Knows??)

The Chiefs Defense was absolutly horrible. Let that sink in. :d-day:
 
Cleo Lemon was in 9 games...6 TDS and 6 INTS, 1773 yds and 102 rushing yards
Compare that to Thigpen's numbers in his 11 games and its a big difference and they both had crappy teams at the time.

Penny had 19 TDs all of last year!

Im not saying Thigpen is great but he cant be terrible either

The only thing that I dislike about the pickup is that he is of the same mold as White. This looms large when you consider what a waste that we picked White in the second round. Additionally, we have 3 QBs totaling 11 career starts collectively.

On the upside, with Pennington gone, he can be a back up long term to Henne should he be needed. And White................................??
