After a road win a few weeks ago, coach Mike McDaniel told his players that they would have the day off Monday. “Victory Monday,” is what they call it in the NFL. And then quarterback Tua Tagovailoa approached teammates on the happy flight home with a slightly different message. “I remember Tua walking up to me on the plane saying ‘11 a.m. meeting tomorrow; we’re trying to get the whole offense together,’” center Michael Deiter recalled recently. And here’s what’s neat: Dolphins players meeting on their off day, without coaches, wasn’t the least bit unusual this season. Tagovailoa has done it repeatedly, including this past Monday after McDaniel gave the team off following the win against Houston. Other team leaders — such as Terron Armstead and Elandon Roberts — have organized many players-only sessions.

But, but, but he plays golf. Some people are just douchebags with their Tua hate, glad we have an ignore feature. Thanks for sharing.

The culture with this franchise is unlike anything we've witnessed here and we've all hoped for this. This team is going places!!

Ya that’s why I have the disdain for Ross and his crony costing us our first round pick.

No doubt we could’ve really used that pick to probably trade for another established player.

This is stuff you didn't see during Philbin, Gase and Flores, because those coaches didn't allow the players to take ownership of the team and their play. Mike McDaniel has allowed the players to be themselves and to take ownership. There's so much chemistry and comraderie that I haven't seen on this team in ages. It's an amazing development for this team and they truly look much different than any other Dolphins squad that I've seen in 20+ years.

Team leaders are crucial to a winning franchise.
We have that now.

I will never forgive him for that. Envisioned us getting a star edge, along with a premier offense of lineman. I appreciate how well he finds and supports the team, he just has to stop meddling. If he wants to do something he should put a statue in the parking lot for the Indians. Maybe they will forgive their curse on this franchise

Our stadium is on Native American lands I’m assuming?

Although, what building isn’t?
