Belicheck Arrogance Or Desperation Costing His Team

Two crucial 4th down decissions cost Bill Belichecks New England Patriots a loss twice in four weeks.

We all know the "infamous Indy" call but todays 4th dwn early in the 2nd Qrt would ultimatly cost NE the game.

A prudent coach once said you take the points when you can get them until you have to score TD's, in retrospect if Belicheck kicks the field goal and goes up 17-7 on miami the late dramatic comeback miami staged would have been for not.

Is Belicheck arrogante or desporate?

Honestly, I think neither. He was trying to make the best decision for his team like any other good coach would. IMO, the way his offense was moving, he should have went on 4th the first time at his own 45, not the last time that he was held and could have kicked a FG. But in any event, I don't think he was arrogant OR desperate. He is a great coach and his team was simply outplayed today. If you don't believe me, go to a patriots board. Not only do they say they were outplayed by inferior talent, they say they were OUTCOACHED. TAKE THAT SPORANO HATERS!

Belicheat is living like its 2007 and he has the best offense on the field and a top 5 Defense backing them up. All coaches make mistakes on game day, but its who's team can make the mistake make you look like a genius. He doesnt have that team anymore, add to the fact he lost his personel guy who went to KC, plus he doesnt hire a OC to replace McDaniels......but the dumbest move was trading Seymour a week before the season started.......Its all catching up to him now......

He does it all the time...probably more than any other coach. It is part of their standard gameplan. If they are close on 4th, the are probably going for it. Normally they get it...

It may be that in the past he just had a better team that would pick it up. We may be seeing the decline of great Pats dynasty. I can only hope...
