After the Saints absolutely crushed our rivals last week (loved it), coming into this game I was eager to see how the Pats were to respond against us. During the Saints shellacking of NE, I noticed that Belichick's team really isn't as loaded as he thinks. He got rid of his best pass rusher Richard Seymour and got rid of his older linebackers. Yes, they still have Brady, Moss and Welker, but they don't appear to have the same "swag" from the Patriot teams I'm used to seeing. So I take offense to every time NE gets into field goal range against us and goes for it on 4th down, and absolutely loved seeing us stuff them when we do. It has become apparent to me that Belichick's "go for the throat" coaching style is what is losing them games....and i f****** LOVE IT. They left the point on the field which could have meant the game. Keep thinkin your s*** dont stink fellas, while we steal this division from you. AFC East title....lets do it!

that ****y sob deserves anything bad that happens to him, **** HIM and his TEAM.

Trent Dilfer commented on that very issue on "The Herd" radio show today. He said (and I am suming it up) - There have been decades of coaches who have studied, tested and found proven formula's that work in this league. There is a reason why going for it on 4th down in those situations is not the right decision and these coaches today want to outsmart the sytem and its biting them in the butt- thats basically what he said and I couldnt agree more and I am glad its bitting that ****y SOB in the butt

I remember thinking when Bilicheck went for it there that it was way too early in the game for that. Take the points. If he kicks the FG, likely we're trying to score a TD during that last drive instead of going for the FG.
Failing to convert that 4th down in the 1st qtr can really change momentum. Being down 17-7 could have been demoralizing enough that who knows how Miami would have responded.

I felt exactly the same way when they went for it in the 2nd quarter. I think it pissed our team off more than anything because it was such an unnecessary risk for them.
