Anybody expect us to cut Bell and McDaniel soon? Their base salaries are just over 7 Mil. combined.
Though I like that we retained Soliai at a good price, it did eat up a lot of money for a QB and WR. Hoping we aren't counting on both coming out of the draft.
 
I could see both of them gone. Jones will fill bell shoes nicely. Since we re-signed soliai I can see mcdaniel gone
 
Fasano would also save us close to 4 million, although we would need to draft a Fleener to make that happen.
 
i sure hope so... if we intend to make any sort of qb move... thats where the money is going to have to come from
 
Bell would probably get restructured. McDaniels is expendable, but he was great as a pass rusher in 2010.

Not sure they's move Fasano without a replacement lined up.
 
Just an FYI, if we cut each guy, this is how much space we create:

Fasano - $3.6 million
Bell - $4.3 million
McDaniel - $3 million
 
Cut Fasano, draft Allen/Allen in the 2nd, cut Bell- move Jones over to SS, keep McDaniel but restructure as he's a part time guy, especially with Soliai coming back
 
We really would benefit from cutting them. Reshad could take over from Bell good enough for the time being, it wouldn't be much of a drop off. Maybe just in experience, cause I'd take Jones in coverage over Bell
 
I doubt Bell gets cut. He has led the team in tackles the last several seasons and is one of the few leaders on this rudderless team.
 
WTF! Why are we paying Mcdaniles so much money?? Cut him ASAP! And Fasano needs to restructure or get out of here! I feel for Bell but he too is making too much money. We need to cut Mcdaniels esp since we resigned Merling, and either restructure Bell or trade him...
 
Bell won't get cut. He is the leader and glue of the defense. He's too valuable.

Soliai didn't cost a lot of money. His cap # for 2012 is just over $4M.
 
McDaniel is costing only 3million. That's cheap. Are you paying attention to the salaries FA's are making right now? For the productivity McDaniel gives Miami at that price Miami is getting a bargain so IMO don't expect McDaniel to be cut.
