Well, I see three top defenders this year who I'd be happy to see win either way:

-Ben Wallace
-Gerald Wallace
-Alonzo Mourning

Zo was hurt for a nice distance, but you really can't argue against him. #3 in the NBA in Blocks per game, playing only 20 minutes a game? Incredible.

Me personally, I was rooting for Gerald Wallace, yet knowing he didn't have a chance.

There is no way you can compare the impact Gerald has to that of big Ben. He deserves the award....the only guys who impact the game more on the defensive end are Duncan and Shaq. And Shaq would only win the award it was defensive player of the playoffs.
