Are you talking about the Red Hots candy? I thought those nasty little things were everywhere.
I think he is refering to the Red Hot Smokeys(Smoked Sausage Dogs) and yes they are delicious!

Marvin Lewis being a "way" better coach than dave is still not proven, this guy did nothing when he was with Washington, he had Ray Lewis in Baltimore. If he's such a damn good coach how come Cincy's D is so pitiful? Gregg Williams the former coach of the bills is a great defensive coach but a bad head coach. Carson Palmer looked good in his first game, but how confident are they in Rudi Johnson is they drafted Chris Perry?

The defense does suck. I'll give you that. Marvin's the head caoch now and not specifically concentrated on the D anymore. There was not much to work with there, but we are building. We are very confident in Rudi. He is the guy that can really hurt you that most people look over. The guy had multiple 100 yard games last year despite first backing up Dillon and then sharing time with him. As far as Perry, he's an afterthought. I think he's injured this week again anyway, but he's just someone who could produce in the future, not now.

Oh, got ya. I got confused because we just call them Smokeys (and yes, they are the best). You have to excuse me for laughing when I read Smoked Sausage Dogs in parenthesis. My friends will get a kick out of the description. No offense to you though, I know what is common in some places aren't in others. Up here, Smokeys are like apple pie and Chevrolet.

And down here winning is like key lime pie and hurricanes.

:shakeno: You've never been out of Cincy have you.

nice rip off of the Saints you got going in your sig.....What's the matter? All the good chants were taken since the last time you were any good??? :roflmao:
if you are refering to the who dey chant, you have it backwards. the saints ripped it off of the bengals. so here's a little history for you. that chant started back in 81 during our first superbowl run. it came from the beer company Hudey which was manufactured in cincy and served at the bengals/reds games and went like this:

hu-dey
hu-dey
hu-dey
thinks gonna beat them bengals
when they play in the jungle
afraid nobody

the saints started chanting it a couple of seasons later. let me know if you need any further info.

See, I take cr@p for not going to the Smack forum and then the smack comes right back to me here. Catch 22. So here is a post for the smack forum, but not in the smack forum:

Tag team partner! Nice one. Take it the smack forum though or they'll jump all over you. Did you hear they are making Hu-Dey beer again this season?

the defense in washington finished in the top five and a big reason why the redskins went 8-8 that year because it sure wasn't done by the fun-n-gun genius

[qoute] If he's such a damn good coach how come Cincy's D is so pitiful? Gregg Williams the former coach of the bills is a great defensive coach but a bad head coach.[/qoute]

can't compare the two entirely different situations. in one season, lewis took a team that went 2-14 to an 8-8 record and got the cheap stubborn owner to hide in the background while lewis runs the team.

[qoute] Carson Palmer looked good in his first game, but how confident are they in Rudi Johnson is they drafted Chris Perry?
rudi johnson was offered a long term deal but rejected it. he wants to try the free agent market after this year plus we lost not only dillon but brandon bennet who was our third down back as well. lewis has stated many times that he draft by best player available not by need.
hope these answers some of your questions.

Here's the teams mindset

talk about arrogant, they are set up for a HUGE fall. This from a fantasy website.

Sept. 16, 11:24 a.m. Chad Johnson - WR, Cincinnati
Johnson didn't celebrate his highlight-film touchdown catch in the Bengals' opener. Turns out he was saving himself. One of the NFL's most frequently fined players plans to introduce a signature touchdown celebration on Sunday night against the Dolphins.
Fantasy Source spin: So, Johnson owners, that's what your star receiver's mind is on. Hey, as long it involves scoring a touchdown -- sounds like he considers it a foregone conclusion he'll score one Sunday - and doesn't involve a suspension, it's all good. Start him as planned in Week 2 and prepare to be entertained. (Brendan Roberts/TSN)
Next 3: MIA (1st in pass defense; 61.0 ypg), BAL, @PIT. Bye week: 5 Week 2 rating:

:fire:

Must shut him down !
