I'm over here now
In the article on the home page, it states that Bennie "was led to believe" that he would be starting at RG.

That seems weird to me. Of course, we all said it would be a battle at RG but lead him to believe that?

Is this a media thing or do you think there is some substance to this statement?

I hope it's a media thing, he has to earn that right in mho..Just because some don't like Mckinney doesn't make him a terrible canidate to to end up starting there, it's another year and we don't know how well he's prepared this offseason, but I know the phins had 100% participation in offseason training so Mckinney could be stronger and the move to RG maybe the best bet for him...stay tuned. Anderson was a liability to Buf in the passing game and undiscipline game in terms of false starts. We went through that and don't need it now. Anderson didn't spend the whole offseason with us and I'm not sure what condition he's in or if he's gotten any better at this point. But if he's where he was last season, then I don't see him starting. He'd better get up to speed in a hurry. His run blocking is his biggest strong point at this time, and we have a qb who's coming off a major injury, he'd better get his pass blocking on lock.

That home page says one thing to me "DEPTH".
Bring 'em all on!

bennie will be starting

I really think so too...Mularkey seems to like him or we would have never signed him. He'll be a lot more physical than McKinney in the run game, and with Houck's coaching, his pass blocking should improve as well.

Yeah, Mularkey likes him so much that he benched Anderson for OT Mike Williams, a guy that couldnt even play well at his natural position.

A quality pick up and should improve the starting line. I like what i see in this starting o-line.

I can't wait till he eats up John Escargo for lunch when we face you.:sidelol: :sidelol:

i think Bennie Anderson will be molded into a Toniu Fonoti/Larry Allen type because Hudson Huock made both of them...and Bennie has there size so i think he has a chance to match them

I don't believe anyone from the front office made Anderson any promises other than a good chance to compete. It would be utterly out of chracter for the team to do that.

I think thats why he signed so fast. He had only been released a few days. That is without question the weakest link of our OL.

We are in trouble if Anderson starts and play the way he did while with the Bills.

But he did do better with the Ravens, so maybe it was the coaching. Then again, he played RG with the Ravens and then the Bills moved him over to LG and played there.

Houck will need to work with him though if he wants Anderson to be a good guard for us.

The only thing he'll be eating is the Premium Membership Meal at the all you can eat buffet.

Business should be booming for them from now on.
