At first I had to crack up at the Berlin threads. He was no good in college and he is just playing against 3rd team D... so what makes anyone think he'll do anything for us? Let alone start... But then I had to ask myself why Saban would sign him in the first place? Why, if he didn't think the kid had potential, would he want him on the team? Saban is known for having a great eye for talent, so while I don't think it's likely, Berlin might be an ace up his sleave. Why would Saban want another permenent back-up? We already have three of them. I'm not on the Brock bus... but I am keeping him in the back of my mind. Anyone think I'm crazy?

I do. :D That being said i hope youre right, and as it stands right now Berlin although he's playing against the 3rd stringers....is looking better than i had anticipated. Good luck to him. On Sundays i bleed aqua and orange...but on Saturdays i bleed Green and orange. UM/FINS

If you read all the preseason/post draft articles about Saban and berlin, you would know that Saban had tried to sign berlin TWICE before finally getting him. Once, after high school, and once after florida... So it is safe to say that SAban has kept his eye on this kid for a while...

Maybe you should check back on his senior year again.

I doubt Saban is gonna keep Feeley around...he is not going to keep a QB he did not pick....I think Gus and Berlin will stay and maybe Sage.

Brock Berlin scored a whopping 13 on the wonderlic. Well, at least we know his agent didn't furnish him with previous copies of the test so he could cheat...

I know you remember exactly what dan got, why did you use this as a reason to bash brock? I'm just saying...

Because it is common belief among NFL scouts that a QB needs to be able to score at least a 20 in order to show that he's smart enough to run a full and complete NFL offense. There are, of course, exceptions. But until the exceptions become the rule, anyone can feel free to bash any college quarterback coming into the NFL who scores only a 13 on the wonderlic.

At the beginning of the pre season I would have said yes...you are crazy!! I saw a few of the early practices and Brock looked lost out there. But he has been looking really good in the last 2 games. I remember that scouts were saying that his size would be a big negative agaisnt him in the NFL but hey, isn't Drew Brees about his same size? (I know he is not Brees...Im just comparing sizes).

Where did I say you couldn't have an opinion? You are getting to used to arguing with people in here. I'm merely pointing out that the wonderlic is about as useful as the 40 yd dash to determine how good any player is going to be once the pads go on and that game starts. If anything, I would be more interested in which questions someone got right than their total score.:D

He's taller than Brees.

Brock has his limitations. He's got a long way to go. If you guys think AJ Feeley locks onto his primary receiver, you should see Brock in action. He almost got Rosco Parrish killed a few times.

But I have to admit, he's done better than I thought he could have.
