Berlin vs. Feeley

Ahhhhhhhh ignorance is truly bliss, I see that it would kill you to take off the Canes shades huh?
You are comapring a guy who will never play a down in the NFL to a decent QB.
Berlin blew at UM and at UF and he will blow in the pros. Its sad that he is worse than Dorsey and Jason White.

Of course no matter how much Berlin improved, some people refused to give him credit either. There were alot of "hater shades" on people eyes as well. Berlin had a horrible Junior year, no doubt about that. However look at his stats for his senior year (Dont give me the stats don't count garbage, our WR core was INCREDIBLY overrated and the "500 yards a game allowed" DEFENSE SUCKED!).

Will he do anything in the NFL, no one knows. Maybe, maybe not. Probably not unless he gets good coaching. To say he blew at UM is ridiculous.

Regardless of who becomes QB, I will be supporting him.
 
imo they are both below average qbs, but brock is a little more below average than feeley
 
Why did ryan leaf fail??? was it because he didn't have the physical skills?? or was it because he mentally couldn't handle the job? Leaf cracked under pressure, and thought he was better than he really was. I remember a thread about that personality test that said leaf should never have been a QB because his brain type couldn't handle pressure correctly. The biggest difference between the college and pro game is the speed. Especially the speed of the rush. One of the biggest things that scouts look for is that coolness. A prime example is Tom Brady (YUK!). You could say that berlin has more skills than him. But who makes the right decision in a bad situation? (except for when JT is involved?). Throwing the ball is half the battle, Deciding where it should go is the other. I beleive feeley handles the pressure better than berlin, and is as athletically skilled as him, thus Feeley is superior. And when un-injured feeley had the better college stats.

IM SURE YOUR ALOT BETTER RITE WHY AREN'T YOU OUR QB SABAN BROUGHT HIM IN SO HE MUST LIKE THE KID HE TRIED TO GET HIM AT LSU AFTER HE WAS THE BEST HIGHSCHOOL QB COMING OUT. :yell:

Wait...there is one flaw in your stats....Berlin had a very, very good team around him (and on the D side of the ball)...AJ had very little on the Oregon team he QB'd. You can't compare these two guys this way...

I am not sure that Berlin has an arm as strong as AJ's...and he was the weak link in the UM offense this year and last year....Besides college production doesn't mean squat for either of these guys right now...
 
Putting up better numbers in college is meaningless. I can guarantee that Berlin had a better system/players around him then Feeley. Besides who cares, big numbers for a college QB doesnt translate into success in the NFL.

Brock was surounded by UM players. Who did Feeley have? an not compare the two. Compare Brock and Dorsey and its not even close.

like i said in another post yesterday, last year's um team was not a 'very, very good team' as you put it. their back 7 on defense was very good, but the rest of the team had holes. a d-line that got pushed around, an inconsistent runnin game, recievers who couldn't catch, and an o-line who was merely average after losing winston. in '03, he did hold um back, but last year was a team effort- they simply weren't good enough to win a nc or the acc title. that said, he was a solid college qb that will not translate to the pro game well imo.
