Ok. We ALL know that in order for this season to be any form of a success we have to see continued progress for #17.

Knowing that, what are the two other things that would determine us ready for the season if they happen?

For me it's:

#1. Need Gesicki to be a dominant endzone target and third down threat.
#2. Need McMillon to pick up from where he started last year where he was dominant at LB in TC.

You?

You hit the two major one's on the head. We need Drake, Tunsil, Howard and those guys need to be great but we aren't going to see that in the preseason.

Excited to hear about the daily INT's coming from Minkah (hopefully more from Osweiler/Fales passes) than RT. I am sure Fitzpatrick will get his hands on one or two of 17's throws though.

It would certainly be great if Devante Parker is just different this year. Somehow unstoppable in practice. And healthy.

1. No fan has volunteered to step forward to take one for the team and sacrifice themselves for the sake of leniency from the Injury Gods. (No major injuries plz...and some young lad plz step forward!!)

2. Protect RT, give him a clean pocket and time to go through his progressions. Absolutely no WHIFFS!!!

The O-line and the D-line
It all starts up front. If we can win up front then we'll make the playoffs this year.
If we can't win up front then it's going to be bad season for us

I'm quite high on geseki, but I think we're setting ourselves up for a little disappointment. Most tight ends don't walk into the league and dominate their first year. I'm hoping to see flashes from him, and steady growth.

As far as your question, I say;

1. Competent online play is critical to our success. Not looking for greatness, just a couple seconds before the qb/RB have someone in their face.

2. Improved linebacker play across the board.

agreed- those are imperative. As a bonus I would like to see DVP break out

i think gesicki will actually produce right away...we have 4 guys (stills, grant, wilson, parker) who can stretch the field and amendola running underneathe, we should see gesicki running down the middle covered by a lb pretty often in my opinion...

also i think tannehills going to love him as a target, the way he goes up and gets the ball at ita highest point...i think tannehill building chemistry with gesicki early should be a main focus for the offense, gesicki could be a game changer especially inside the redzone

OL play and DVP dominating and staying healthy. I'll lose it if I read that Parker is nursing some little injury.

Need to see a comprehensive, holistic football solution implemented in strategic phases -- developing a highly refined scoring machine (ripsaw) coupled with the ability to disrupt opposing offences -- and most definitely knock the crap out of coitus backs like the lady (soft ball cheater) in NE.

Have to see serious early dividends on high picks along with a few "positive surprises" and certainly big developmental steps from previously inconsistent players like Parker and Tunsil.

Needless to say -- Thill has gotta be the MAN and Gase needs to prove he's a serious legit strategic Zen football mind capable of outcoaching the pack and hanging with the very best.

Get it done. Or get outta town!

I think we have a chance.
