I know he had that fumble last week, but that was controversial. This guy was one of the better players we had last year and catches EVERYTHING in site. He lays himself out...one handed...whatever it takes. This guy makes things happen. GET HIM IN AND GET HIM THE BALL!!!!!!

Agreed. I live in Hawaii...I would love to see us use him more because I have seen first hand what he can do for years. Hes nothing but a playmaker. Not a burner...but he catches absolutely everything.

He currently leads the team in receptions, and passes thrown to compared to all other WR's. With the offense we run, it is physically impossible for his role to get any bigger than it already is.

Sporano is giving more reps to Hartline and who can blame him. Hartline has made some plays this season in what little time he has seen the field. Hartline is a good story too.

Bess is slow. The pattern he ran where the corner undercut his route and almost picked off Henne is all you need to know about Bess.

In fact, now that Ginn will be seeing the field less, our offense as a whole is slow. Fastest player left is Rickey.

I'll address this before Sunday's game, as I'm not in the state of mind right now to do it, but this "Brian Hartline deserves to be our #1 WR, needs to be starting, need to cut Ginn, make him a kick returner full time" crap needs to stop. Ginn has actually done something in his NFL career, he actually has history, and although people are too dumb to remember, he actually *gasp* led this team in receiving yards and receptions last year *OMG OMG OMG*

Brian Hartline, well he has a grand total of 10 NFL receptions. Yes, you want to replace a man with well over 120+ receptions in his NFL career, and have him replaced with a man with 10 receptions, who is a rookie, and couldn't get 25 receiving yards before last game, which might I remind you he got 66 of his yards on one giant catch and run.

So please, I ask everybody on this board to stop being moronic, because there is way too much blind hatred on this board. The cut this guy, and trade that guy crap is tiring, because the bottom line is Ted Ginn is our best WR, and you all will laugh at me, but it is very very true. You want guys like Patrick Turner, who HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN ACTIVATED, to start over him. I mean where do some of you come up with these boneheaded ideas? We bench Ginn, we have a rookie and a slot receiver as our starting WR's now. Because as we know, rookie receivers are known to have a great mental state and not to drop balls *rolls eyes*

You know why you haven't seen Hartline drop passes, its probably because he has been thrown the ball a grand total of 15 times the entire season. Talk about making season changing decisions off the smallest of sample sizes.

Again, I am not going to get into depth about this matter until probably Sunday, but this crap on this board is ridiculous. Use some common sense, please.

What Bess is good at is reading the coverage and making adjustment on the fly. That is why He was good with Brennen and Pennington. With Henne he doesn't have that down yet. Henne is throwing to a spot rather than reading and knowing what bess is going to do. What make Bess good is he was also a QB in High School so he thinks like a QB. Speaking of which they should let him do passes out of the Wildcat.

With Ginn dropping as many as he did, naturally Henne will look to him less. Which means more throws heading to other receivers, including Bess.

Before this game, Bess had a 89% catch percentage (23/26). The guy catches just about everything. Only one receiver had a higher catch percentage. Guess who? Greg Camarillo (14/15, 93%). In contrast, Ginn has been thrown to 29 times and come down with it 16 times (54%). And again, that was before the Saints game, so the numbers have gotten worse.

These guys aren't freakish athletes like Ginn, but they've earned the right to have the ball thrown their way more, and Ginn will be thrown to less.

He has made mistakes including Sunday. I believe he was the target on the last INt- Ran in instead of out and he hasn't learn to cut off his route on a blitz.

Bess does not need the ball more. He is slow, which is apparent whenever we throw him a screen pass. He can make people miss but he can't get away from them. He is averaging 7.2 yards per catch this year which is atrocious. He should be used on third and short where he can use his quickness but I think he gets the ball more than enough.

alot of miami's screens suck - By your definition Ricky is also slow!!

I'd rather have Bess or Cam get me 7 yards almost every time I throw to them rather than Ginn miss the ball half the time.

Amen Amen,,hes Done Nothing Wrong He Leads The Team In Receptions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How does any of this have to do with Bess? Bess has clearly shown he is just as good as Ginn as a RECIEVER. He may not win a 100 yard dash but hes a better WR.
