Two simple questions: If everything goes right, what will be our record?

If everything goes wrong, what will be our record?

If the Fins stay healthy and the offensive line plays fairly well, among other things, I think Miami can be 11-5.

If the offensive line is a disaster again and we are battling injuries at key positions, I think the worst could be 6-10.

Suh Dominates on D and Tannehill/Lazor 2.0 strikes hot with Parker winning ROY, we go 12-4, lose to the Colts in the playoffs in the first of many Luck VS Tannehill showdowns.

OR o-line sucks again, Suh gets suspended, and Philbin proves to be average Joe yet again. We go 6-10. New coach next year.

13-3
7-9

Which is a huge step up from where I think we might have been had we done little and still had Wallace, Hartline, Gibson, Starks and Odrick. In that case I think 2-14 to 10-6 would have been our range.

Best - 12-4: Tannehill becomes what many think he can. Defense eats people. There is much rejoicing.

Worst (not the worst record I think could happen, but the worst-case scenario) - 9-7: Dolphins miss playoffs. Tannehill shows some progress, but not enough for everyone to be happy. Defense shows promise, but is flawed. Caleb Sturgis costs Miami two games. Philbin somehow keeps his job.

Worst case scenario: Tannehill gets hurt and/or Albert doesn't come back.

Best Case: We smoother and dominate NE, split with the Jets and Bills and finish 14-2 or 13-3.

Best case I'd say 13-3 (no big injuries i.e. Albert, Suh, RT, Wake, Grimes, Cameron, Miller).

Worst case I'd say 6-10 (RT injury).

Worst case Albert is slow to return and staff decides to try James at LT again rather than leaving him at RT. Even when Albert comes back James never gets back into the flow of being switched back and forth and starts playing like Dallas Thomas and for the same reasons. Misi trips over a blade of grass, skins his knee and misses 12 games while it heals. Even with the bad OL play and no MLB, team still leads by 4 in the last two minutes of each of the 1st 4 games before Joe calls all of his timeouts to allow the other team to come back and beat us. When asked why he called all of his timeouts to help the other team win he replied "i don't remember it that way, we will have to go back and watch the tape, but I am pretty sure I had fell asleep during the last 2 minutes and therefore couldn't have called the timeouts". We go on to finish the season 3-13.

Best case Joe goes for a drive through the glades to clear his bulbous head where he encounters an alien spacecraft full of other aliens with large bulbous headed morons who tell Joe they have came back to earth to pick him back up. They explain they would have been back sooner but they game planned the trip back to earth and got lost, wandering cluelessly around the galaxy trying to find earth. They all laugh and butt their huge heads together (a sign of affection on planet Moron) and try to take Joe back home, but of course they get lost again and spend the rest of their lives flying in circles around the Milky way. Without Joe the team thrives and finishes 12-4.

Best case Scenario:I believe, if by the start of the season all recovering players are ready to play (And play like it), few games are missed by starters, and the O-line plays at least solid as a unit I really relieve this team can win as much as 14 games.

Worst case Scenario: If Miami Loses Tannehill, plus has huge injuries to starters all years, and the O-line continues to struggle, I can see Miami win as few as 6 games.

We seem to always finish right around .500 but I think 10-6 is realistic. I just want to win some playoffs games!!!

How are some people saying the worst case scenario "if the OL fails like last season"....we will only win 4-6 games. We won 8 in the worst case scenario but you think we will do worse after severely upgrading on both sides of the ball this offseason?

I think 12-4 is a realistic "glass half full" prediction.
another 8-8 is as worst case as I can truly see.
