Best Available Free Agent Running Back?

I will keep saying it. Wait on Foster. He does not count against he comp formula. Yes, he has been banged up, but the year before he was great and while he had the hernia this year, he came back way faster than anyone thought he would.

Stud in the passing game.

I like Ronnie Hillman, thoughts?

I think it is telling that Gase has not ran to him yet. I like the player too, but it is interesting he has been out there and Gase has not had much interest.

Forget about adding another RB...stick what what we got. Not like this team is going anywhere....

put the $$ some wheres else

It might come to the point where he would be the best option, it just better be a heavily incentive laden deal.

Other running backs still available include Ronnie Hillman (played under Adam Gase in Denver), Arian Foster, Pierre Thomas, Tim Hightower, Stevan Ridley, Ahmad Bradshaw, Stephen Jackson, Fred Jackson, Joique Bell, Bobby Rainey and Jordan Todman.

How Football Outsiders ranks the ones that had enough carries to qualify:

2- Matt Forte --Jets 3 years $12 million
18- Lamar Miller--Texans 4 years $26 million

21- LeGarrett Blount
28- CJ Anderson -- Broncos 4 years $18 million
32- CK2K -- Cardinals 1 year $3 million

34- Ronnie Hillman
40- Chris Ivory -- Jags 5 years $32 million
41- James Starks -- Packers
42- Alfred Morris
DNQ- Bilal Powell -- Jets 3 years $12 million

**Tim Hightower was 4 attempts from qualifying and would have been ranked 14th.

Ehhhh just skip the retreads and look to the draft at this point

He's better then Both Starks and Johnson. So I don't understand why They haven't inquired, but than again Gase knows him well.

Matt Forte seems to be the best value by far, how were we not on that like white on rice, especially with the Gase connection?

I like drafting a RB, but sometimes rookies can struggle with the passing game. You know that Foster would be a stud in pass protection and he can still make LB's look silly on jerk routes.

Forget the exact numbers but he got what I thought was more money than he would command, probably thats why.

Powell resigned with the Jets, Gase obvously is not a Hillman fan.

Seems like the Jets always have a decent team, except for a QB. Sounds like us with offensive line.

I'm all in for Hillman. I think he will succeed. He won't make a pro bowl but I think he can be serviceable and get us some yards and can hit 1000 yards.

We had the best on that list. We are so stupid.

How? He got paid 6.5M! That's a lot for a RB who has potential to be great but didn't deserve that deal based on those numbers
