well im only 15 and i was looking at the poll on the front page i ddint recognize a lot of the players names on there and i was wounderin if some of u older fans could skool us younger fans on some of those names and who u think the best corner is

I live in Toledo Ohio, and Curtis Johnson is a Fire Fighter for the city of Toledo. My best friend is also a firefighter, and had a charity spaghetti dinner. I got to meet Curtis and man was he interesting. I told him I was a dolphin fan and told him about our site!!!! He had some great things to say about Don Shula, and the old days. I just regret not having a pic taken. He was working and just stopped by for some spaghetti.

Sam-I am-Madison

Nope!

Surtain was the best.

But we had some great role players over the years. The Blackwood brothers were part of the Killer B defense, I loved the way they played.

Vincent was up there also.

We were more know for some of our safetys, Oliver, Scott etc...

I think there was a thread on this a few weeks ago. I rank them:

Scott
McNeal
Vincent
Surtain
Madison

I dont really know who was our best Db, but i do know that louis Oliver was my favourite. If I had to choose it would be Anderson for safety and Surtain for CB

I think that list is pretty accurate. Had Miami retained Troy Vincent, he would be #1 on my list. As it is, I would put Patrick Surtain first, followed by Sam Madison, Troy Vincent and Don McNeal. McNeal was a really good player, but unfortunately he is probably most known for missing a tackle (sliding off) Jon Riggins in the super bowl. The Dolphins haven't honestly had too many great corners. In the 70's, they had a pair of great safeties in Dick Anderson and Jake Scott both of whom should be in the hall of fame IMO. Anderson had probably the best defensive game I have ever seen by a Dolphin player against Pittsburgh coming up with four interceptions in a Monday night 30-26 win. Those are two players I wish you could have seen and were a big part of Miami's defense during those great years.

far and above the best corner dolphins ever had was good old #13 Scott, especially if you take only in account stats while with the dolphins

HE WAS A SAFETY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oops, yeah starting free safety, but i stil cant count vincent- only 4 years with the dolphins

My Rankings....

1. Surtain
2. Vincent
3. McNeal
4. Madison
5. Johnson
6. Paul Lankford
7. Tim Foley
8. T. Buckley
9. William Judson
10. Lloyd Mumford

I`d go with Curtis Johnson, because he`s the only one on the list who won a ring (two of them). FYI, he`s the Dolphin who`s giving chase to Earl Campbell on that 80 something yard run they always show of Campbell when the Oilers beat us on MNF in `78. The guy had the biggest `fro in the league too!
